Recently discovered the girl name [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] and I love it SO much. It’s pronounced as “doubt-son” and is of Dutch origin. I have Dutch heritage (and a Dutch middle name) but live in the UK. My only worry is that I don’t know how Doutzen would be perceived over here…
Thoughts?
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneleen is a full name I would consider if the first name gets a good review haha. Hanneleen is of Afrikaans origin. Too much?
It’s not for me, just on account of starting with Doubt.
I actually really like [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f]. I’ve never heard it before, but I was immediately drawn to its clunky-yet-charming sound. However, I’m not a fan of [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneleen (since both names end in n). Maybe [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneke?

[name_f]Doutzen[/name_f]. Hmmm. That’s really interesting! You know, at first glance it seemed like too much, but it’s growing on me. It’s not a name I would consider, but it’s cute!
Would you consider the nickname [name_m]Dow[/name_m]/Dou for occasional use? [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] is fun to say, but screaming it over a bunch of toddlers heads seems like it would get old sometimes.

Seems like it would get mispronounced a lot, and I’m not loving the “doubt” syllable.
My family is Dutch but I grew up in Australia. I have a very Dutch surname and it gets absolutely butchered.
However, I really like [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f]! I think it has a really nice sound to it. I’m not such a big fan of [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] with Hanneleen though, it feels a bit much and not really a fan of the flow.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] from experience, I would recommend having a more ‘familiar’ middle name to give [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] an option if they want it growing up or professionally. Of my three cousins with VERY Dutch names, one of them goes by their more ‘English’ middle just because it’s easier for them.
Kids adapt though, and [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] really is adorable
I like it, but it feels very tied to the supermodel [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Kroes. I think you’d have to be OK with the connection.

I don’t mind [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneleen, but I agree the Hanneke flows a little better. Or [name_f]Hannelore[/name_f]?
I only know of the name because of the VS model, [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Kroes. I think it’s a lovely name in its native country, but not so much in the UK because it is literally “doubt son,” or thereabouts. [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneleen is a bit too much for a British kid, unless you have Dutch or South African ties.

I’m not sure if a name starting with “doubt” would be the best choice for a first name in an English-speaking country.
I like the name but i have to say i don’t live in an english speaking country.
I think of the VS model, so beautiful association. 
from the sound and look itself I’m not a huge fan, but that’s more because my style is very different and there’s nothing wrong with the name itself. I think [name_f]Doutzen[/name_f] Hanneleen sounds really nice.
