Hubby and I have [name]ZERO[/name] ideas about names for the newest little pipsqueak.
So far our existing kids are:
[name]Alexandra[/name] (F)
[name]Cassian[/name] (M)
[name]Killian[/name] (M)
[name]Bennett[/name] (M)
[name]Anneliese[/name] (F) and
[name]Marigold[/name] (F)
We use saint names or versions of saint names (for instance [name]Bennett[/name] is [name]Benedict[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name] is [name]Anne[/name]+[name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Marigold[/name] honors [name]Mary[/name]).
WE ARE STUCK. Totally and completely stuck.
I don’t like common. I don’t like boring. I don’t like “typical Catholic name”. (None of these names are common where I live, btw)
Can someone give some ideas so we can bounce them around?
We KIND OF like [name]Atticus[/name], but not really.
We kind of like [name]Caius[/name], but not really.
Same with Masseo (a Italian family version of [name]Matteo[/name]/[name]Matthew[/name]), [name]Ambrose[/name], [name]Blaise[/name], Campion. We [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hilary[/name]. But it’s such a girl name now.
For the boy names I definitely love [name]Cassian[/name] and [name]Bennett[/name], both names are very handsome and I would love to meet a little boy named [name]Cassian[/name], plus you have the option of nn [name]Cass[/name], if you are into that sort of thing.
For girl names I think that [name]Alexandra[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name], and [name]Marigold[/name] are all pretty, however, if you are going for uncommon I would say [name]Marigold[/name] is the way to go!
I don’t like [name]Cassian[/name] for a boy. It sounds more feminine to me. I think that [name]Anneliese[/name] is the best option from the girls names and from the boys, I’d go with [name]Bennett[/name].
That’s okay. I <3 Cassian. We don’t pronounce it the Latin way but Cashen (nn Cash) since that’s the way the saint is pronounced in our church. Cashen sounds more masculine.(I don’t like it prn Cassy-en.)
Anyway, this thread isn’t about Cassian so I’ll quit.
lol, I’m sorry people are having trouble understanding what you mean.
I think [name]Caius[/name] is too close to [name]Cassian[/name], though it does match your set.
What about
[name]Malachi[/name] - saint [name]Malachy[/name]
[name]Clarence[/name]
[name]Casimir[/name] would be awesome, but I think that’s too close to [name]Cassian[/name] too
[name]Leopold[/name]/[name]Leonard[/name]
[name]Silvanus[/name]/[name]Sylvester[/name]
[name]Pascal[/name] - saint [name]Paschal[/name]
[name]Felix[/name] - maybe to regular for you, but I think it fits your set well.
[name]Abelard[/name]
[name]Quentin[/name]
[name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Blaise[/name] for a boy!!! My first thought after reading your thread and your other children’s names was [name]Augustin[/name] or [name]August[/name] for a boy, however.
There are a lot of good suggestions on this user list including some you already have: Cool Saint Names for Boys | Nameberry. I do think [name]Atticus[/name] and [name]Caius[/name] are a little close to some of your other names. I like [name]Ambrose[/name], but do you want another A name?
