I’ve had some very strange reactions to the name [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] (which we are considering for our surprise baby due any day)…

I’ve been so confused by the reactions. I’ve heard everything from “hillbilly” to “british” to “artsy”

What image and/or vibe do you get from the name [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]?

I lean more toward the quiet, artsy vibe.

Quiet but strong, a thinker, a good sense of humor. I’ve always loved this name!

Gives me shy but friendly, creative type vibe. Also has an air of refinement as it sounds kind of like an upper crust name - I don’t consider that a bad thing.

I imagine someone vibrant and brash. I think this is one of those times when the person really makes the name.

I definitely agree about quiet and artsy. It’s got a lovely soft sound.
