[name_f]Betty[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] are two names I’ve been pondering recently, and I can’t quite decide if I want to add them to my list. What type of girl or general imagery do you think of when you hear these names?
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] gives me sensible, schoolgirl vibes, but still humorous and happy. kind of blue-green.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] gives me tragic 1800 opera vibes, but for some reason flowers too?? kind of dark pink/magenta colors
I love [name_f]Betty[/name_f], especially as a nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] I think of as being straw-yellow and cheerful; [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] makes me think of elegant evening gowns, [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], and dark blue.
Betty Vibes: 50’s, cutsey, sweet, childlike, pastel colours, florals, gentle, funny…
Ophelia Vibes: fantasy, fairy queen, dramatic, dark colours, feminine power…
I love both of these names!
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] feels very 50’s playful, happy and sweet
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] feels very regal, ballet-esque but also very strong and feminine
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] gives me cosy, sweet vibes - confident and friendly, creative and clever - it gives me imagery of of floral dresses, crochet creations, sunny skies, bumblebees, chunky glasses frames
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is floral, poetic, literary and arty - it gives me shades of pale greens and pinks and purples, delicate flower bouquets, flowing dresses, reading second hand books, playing music, shiny doc marten boots
this is pretty similar to what others have said, but these are my general thoughts/associations
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] - girl-next-door vibes, soft buttery yellow, milkshakes and soda fountains, high ponytails (may just be because of Riverdale), poodle skirts, general 50s aesthetic, [name_f]Americana[/name_f], open fields and dandelions
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - ballerina, regal, shades of purple, elegant, long flowy gowns, gossamer and tulle, [name_f]English[/name_f] countryside
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] feels nostalgic, warm and cosy. She reminds me of cottage in the [name_f]English[/name_f] countryside with roses growing over the front of the cottage, muddy wellington boots, vintage lemonade stands and patchwork quilts. I picture [name_f]Betty[/name_f] being studious, bookish, giggly and a little kooky.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] feels majestic, ethereal, impactful and elaborate. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] reminds me of [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], ballgowns, old money and feels very upper classic aristocratic family. I think [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is beautiful and has a melodic graceful sound.
