[name]Jacoby[/name]. Husband really likes it. I’m not convinced, but want to like it since it’s one of very few names he’s suggested. Sounds invented to me. Your thoughts?

[name]Jacoby[/name] and Meyers were a law firm that used to run really annoying commercials on the east coast. But if you don’t live there, I wouldn’t think thats an issues.

[name]Jacoby[/name] is a surname that is frequently given as a first name, mainly as a fresh-sounding alternative to uber-used [name]Jacob[/name].

I like it. There’s a football player for the Bengals with the name but idk how many people would connect it since it’s his first name. Plus you get two nickname options, [name]Coby[/name] and [name]Jake[/name].

i think [name]Jacoby[/name] Ellsbury. i’m not a [name]Red[/name] Sox fan  its not the worst, but it kind of seems like [name]Jacob[/name] that’s trying too hard.

[name]Just[/name] curious, are you a football fan or baseball fan?

[name]Derek[/name] [name]Jacobi[/name] is the first person I thought of. And he is awesome. However, I’ve always struggled with his name.

[name]Said[/name] jah-KOE-bee I don’t mind it, though I wouldn’t rush out to use it. [name]Said[/name] any other way would irritate me. [name]JAY[/name]-cub-ee would bug me to death.

It’s a bit like Goldberg to me; I’m definitely used to hearing it but I don’t really think of it as a first name. And the only surname-names I really like are when they’re echoing something in the family tree and I’m not closely related to any [name]Jacoby[/name]/Jacobis so I don’t see the point.

Husband is a huge sport fan, all around!

This. I would just go with [name]Jacob[/name] instead.

Ditto here. [name]Jacoby[/name] seems like a nickname you might give to a baby [name]Jacob[/name] (like you might call someone named [name]Derek[/name] Dereky when he’s two years old)

I think of Dr. [name]Jacoby[/name] from “Twin Peaks.”

I like the name enough. I don’t mine surname names, but others may think it’s a kree8tiv [name]Jacob[/name]. (Not saying people on here think that.)

I prefer [name]Jacob[/name]. It is popular because it is a good classic name. I wouldn’t want to mess with it because it would probably cause a lot of confusion and spelling problems. I think I dislike it because it is a variation of [name]Jacob[/name], yet it is pronounced so differently. If I didn’t know better, which most people probably won’t, I would pronounce it [name]Jay[/name]-cob-bee.

[name]One[/name] of my roommates in college has the last name [name]Jacoby[/name]. [name]Every[/name] time I hear that name, I think of her. Honestly, it is not really my style. It seems like an afterthought for [name]Jacob[/name].

In agreeance with all of you. Thought maybe someone could convince me to like it, but I just don’t think it’s a very good name. The sound of it just isn’t apealing. Thanks for the input.

[name]Jacoby[/name] Ellsbury comes to mind! He’s an awesome player for the [name]Boston[/name] [name]Red[/name] Sox. I don’t love the name either, but there are lots of nickname possibilities, like [name]Jake[/name] or [name]Coby[/name].

Best of luck!

I instantly think of Jacobim Mugatu off of Zoolander, it’s not the same name, but the way they say it is soooo similar.

It sounds made up to me. I’d still go for [name]Jacob[/name] even if it’s popular.

I love [name]Jacoby[/name], it’s so handsome! I don’t have any associations, I just like the name.

My first association is this guy…

([name]Jacoby[/name] Shaddix, lead singer of Papa Roach)
