Our long awaited twins have finally decided to graces us with their presence. Kit Marvel was named after African-American mathematician Katherine G. Johnson & the Marvel character Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan). The second twin was named Caro Storm after the first African-American woman in space, Mae Carol Jemison, as well as the Marvel characters Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) and Storm (Ororo Munroe). They join their older sister, Max Adora (3).

Three new bundles of joy just joined our family. They are biological siblings and have come to us through foster care.

The first child, [name_u]Sacha[/name_u] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], was named by their mother and coincidentally shares the same [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] theme with our other three daughters, after the [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] character [name_m]Black[/name_m] Widow (Natasha Romanoff). Their mother’s favorite singer, [name_m]Frank[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], is also a namesake.

The second child was the first to be placed in our care. She was named [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Valkyrie[/name_f] after the [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] characters Wiccan (Billy Maximoff), Ironheart (Riri Williams) and [name_f]Valkyrie[/name_f] (Brunhilde). Another namesake is the African-American jazz singer [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f]

The name of our last child was a joint feature. Together with her mother, we’ve named her [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_u]Garnet[/name_u], after the [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] characters Photon (Monica Rambeau) and [name_u]Nick[/name_u] Fury as well as the [name_m]Steven[/name_m] Universe character [name_u]Garnet[/name_u].
