Imaginary Birth Announcements!

[name_f]My[/name_f] boy :white_heart:

[name_m]Little[/name_m] one made his way into the world on [name_f]April[/name_f] 21st at 4:17am. Weighing 7lb 1oz, I am so excited to introduce [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Orion[/name_m]

I fell in love with the name [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] as soon as a I read it and knew that if I ever had a little boy, that would be his name. I love the space connection with [name_m]Orion[/name_m] and the way it flows with [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] as well as the meaning: [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] means ‘to endure’ and [name_m]Orion[/name_m] means ‘heaven’s light.’

[name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the world my sweet boy, I love you so much :white_heart:

on the 2nd of august at 3:09pm, we welcomed our fourth and final baby, our third little girl! little miss was born at thirty nine weeks and weighed 7Ibs 5oz. i am so excited to introduce you all to our little princess,

odette lua :city_sunset:

i have adored the name odette since i was a little girl. i love the imagery with it, swans and ballerina’s, while still being such a strong name. we adore the nicknames etta and ozzy, we can’t wait to see which one she grows into! i have a feeling she may be a little ozzy girl!

lua is for my grandmother, louise. i adore the name louise, but wanted to stick with our theme of shorter, slightly more uncommon names. my husband’s father is half portugese and it means moon in portugese which i love! big siblings sol, beau and mali are all absolutely smitten with our sweet girl.

we love you so much ozzy :crescent_moon:

[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] [name_m]Rylan[/name_m] :butterfly: :blueberries: :womans_hat:

[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] is such an amazing name, I love the nicknames [name_f]Izzy[/name_f], [name_f]Issa[/name_f] and [name_m]Beau[/name_m] too! Choosing a name was hard because we have TONS of people in both sides of our family and we didn’t want to give her the same name as one of them.

[name_m]Rylan[/name_m] was NEVER on any of our lists until we were at the hospital, we just love the way it sounds with Isabeau!!

[name_f]Love[/name_f] you, my [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]! :heart_hands:

I am THRILLED to announce the birth of my second daughter:

[name_f]Selah[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] :tulip: :basket: :womans_hat:

While scouting for names I came across [name_f]Selah[/name_f], it took some time convincing my husband but he eventually warmed up to it!

[name_f]Marie[/name_f] might seem basic but it has been a family name for a long time, my own middle name is [name_f]Marie[/name_f]!

[name_f]Selah[/name_f] is joining older sister [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] [name_m]Rylan[/name_m]!

[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to the family [name_f]Selah[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]!

This has been my favorite imaginary birth announcement ever since I first discovered this thread. I still come back to the names of [name_m]Galway[/name_m] and her sisters!

:heartpulse::heartpulse::heartpulse:

[name_f]My[/name_f] partner and I announce the birth of [name_f]Eirlys[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], born on [name_f]November[/name_f] 6, at 7.44 a.m. She is pure perfection, weighing 8 pounds on the dot, and 21 inches long.

[name_f]Eirlys[/name_f] is a new discovery for both of us, and we agreed that the meaning snowdrop would be only perfect for our gorgeous daughter born on a snowy day.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] means she who rules or intoxicates. We have been intoxicated by her ever since we found out that I was pregnant with her.

She joins big sibs Dolyn [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] (14), [name_f]Grainne[/name_f] [name_f]Shannon[/name_f] (9), & [name_f]Blair[/name_f] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] (9). We are thankful that our family is now complete!

[name_m]Arlo[/name_m] [name_m]Jace[/name_m] :white_heart:

[name_m]Arlo[/name_m] was a name I was introduced to during my first teaching placement and I’ve loved it since. [name_m]Jace[/name_m] has been a long time love of mine and I just loved the way it complimented [name_m]Arlo[/name_m].

On Thanksgiving [name_f]Day[/name_f] of 2024, our family was blessed beyond measure to welcome our newest additions, [name_m]Noah[/name_m] [name_m]Brave[/name_m] and *Alice Thankful."

[name_m]Noah[/name_m] arrived seven minutes before his sister weighing 6lbs, 4oz, and Miss [name_f]Alice[/name_f], not one to be upstaged, arrived at 7lbs, 1oz. Although they are small, they are already showing us their strength with no NICU time and already settling in and home with their older siblings.

When it came to picking names for the twins, they very much named themselves. [name_m]Noah[/name_m] was named after the Biblical character, whose story we have in a picture book that we often read at bedtime with our older children. When my partner and I arrived home from our sonogram after being told that we were having twins, and our son, [name_m]Asher[/name_m], met us at the door with the book in his hands, and we just knew that if we had a boy, [name_m]Noah[/name_m] was to be his name. Noah’s middle name, [name_m]Brave[/name_m], was chosen so that our sweet boy always remembers that he has bravery in his heart and he can do all things through his own will and strength, and that it is brave simply to exist.

Our little girl, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Thankful[/name_f], also made her name clear to us. We had picked the name [name_f]Alice[/name_f] early on after learning the twins’ sexes, largely due to the number of incredible namesakes that have held the name before her, whom we hope our sweet girl draws inspiration from, such as [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_m]Walker[/name_m] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_m]Stokes[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]. Alice’s middle name, [name_f]Thankful[/name_f], was chosen in the hope that she remembers that there is always something to be thankful for in this life, as well as how thankful we are to have earned the privilege of being her parents. Before their birth, Alice’s middle name was set to be [name_m]True[/name_m], but her birthday settled whatever doubt we may have had about what her middle name was supposed to be.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_m]Noah[/name_m] join older siblings [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Hallelujah[/name_f] (6), [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Isannah[/name_f] (4) and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Courage[/name_m] (2). They are all very their new brother and sister, especially sweet [name_m]Asher[/name_m], who has requested the Noah’s [name_m]Ark[/name_m] book as his bedtime story every evening since the twins came home.

[name_f]Happy[/name_f] birthday, my dears! You are more loved than words can say. We are ever so thankful for our little Thanksgiving blessings, our bookend babies, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Thankful[/name_f] and [name_m]Noah[/name_m] [name_m]Brave[/name_m].

We welcomed our little bee on [name_f]November[/name_f] 17th, exactly three weeks before their due date! Although labor was scary and unexpected in the moment it happened, we are all safe, healthy, and happy, and only stayed in the hospital for two nights after birth. :rainbow:

[name_f][/name_f]

It took us long to decide, but we stayed team green until birth, and kept this last baby’s sex a surprise until birth. We welcomed a little boy[name_f][/name_f]. [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_f]Solstice[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] was born on [name_f]November[/name_f] 17th, weighing 6lbs 1oz, and measuring 19 inches. [name_m]Little[/name_m] goose has had a small tuft of brown hair and the poutiest lips. We are very much in love.

[name_f][/name_f]

Daddy is very excited that his prediction that baby was a boy was correct and [name_f]Mama[/name_f] is very excited that he decided to cook for longer than all of his sisters. The family has been completed with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (5), [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (4), [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (20 mo.), and now little [name_m]George[/name_m]. His sissies have loved to dot on him, including him in all of their activities, and trying to show him what having fun is all about.

[name_f][/name_f]

I just adored the name [name_f]Zenaya[/name_f] from the moment I found it and with the meaning of ‘princess,’ I knew it was what I was going to name my little girl as soon as I found out she was a girl. [name_f]Maree[/name_f] is a family name for multiple women in my family and I just love it in combination with [name_f]Zenaya[/name_f].

On the first of [name_f]December[/name_f], our family was so lucky to welcome our newest editions earth-side, [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] and [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m][name_f][/name_f]. :herb:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] managed to arrive at 11:02 four minutes before her brother [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], who was born at 11:06. [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] weighed 7lbs, 3oz and although his sister beat him out on arrival, he had her beat in weight, as [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] weighed just 6lbs 9oz. We were very proud to have made it to thirty-eight weeks with the twins, and no NICU stay was needed. [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], and mama have all settled in well at home! :blueberries:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] girl picked her own name, we do believe, as it was consistently coming to me in dreams. It has always been a name I adored, and my husband has a special connection with it too. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] was picked for literature, fun, and family ties to men with the middle name [name_m]Louis[/name_m]. There has been an increase of birds seen in our yard starting in my second trimester, and it really solidified the name [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] for us. [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is so strong, and throughout all the worries we had for her during the pregnancy, I reckon those birds were her telling us she’d be just fine. :white_heart:

[name_f][/name_f]

Cosmo’s name didn’t come to us as easily as his sister’s did, but it certainly felt like it was in the stars. Once I looked at my lists and we really got serious, [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] stood right out, as if it had a light shining on it! Our little boy was so sweet throughout the pregnancy, but had a pattern of nudging his sister out of the way on scans, and that fire felt like it fit perfectly with Cosmo’s playfulness. [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] has familial ties on my side, and is a beloved name for my husband, as he has a special affinity for the nickname [name_m]Bear[/name_m], just as I do [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. :sparkles:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] and [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] join older sisters [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Pleasance[/name_f] (8), [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] (8), [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] (5), and [name_f]June[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] (3). They are all very thrilled to have a new sister and a brother. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] has insisted on helping with getting them into their bassinets at bedtime, [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] has been making plans for playing with them in the mud this spring, [name_f]Fern[/name_f] has loved helping mummy shop for clothes for the babies, and [name_f]Junie[/name_f] has loved to share her books with them. We love you more than you will ever know. We will care for and cherish you very well, our bookend babies!! [name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to the world, [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]. :rainbow:

We welcomed our sweet little girl on the second of [name_m]January[/name_m], 2025. She is perfect, and we could not be more in love.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] was born at 11:18 p.m., weighing 7 lbs., 6 oz., and measuring 20 inches. She has bright blue eyes like her daddy and a tuft of dark hair like her mama.

[name_f][/name_f]

Beatrix’s name has been on my list for a while, and when it came down to picking her name, it just seemed to be the one that stuck. I enjoy the amount of nicknames it has (we have used [name_f]Bea[/name_f] since we settled on it at 24 weeks, but also love Birdie), and my husband loves the meaning. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is classic but spunky, which leaves room for it to match with most of the other names on our list too, a bonus for if/when we have more children.

[name_f][/name_f]

Beatrix’s middle names were picked by her daddy. He was very fond of the name [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] throughout the whole pregnancy, and I’d settled on using it in the middle before we even picked Bea’s first name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband likes names that are a little traditional, so he wanted something a bit more widely known than a lot of the names on my list. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] was one of the ones he picked out first as a name he thought represented the qualities he was looking for. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] flowed well, had nice meaning, and captured the qualities both Bea’s daddy and I were looking for in a name, so it was a no-brainer! However, we did also consider [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Viola[/name_f] for the middle spot.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is settling in well, and I’m already feeling much better than I was right after the birth. She is a great sleeper so far and enjoys eating and being snuggled by her dad the most. We are very proud that she is our daughter.

On the first of [name_m]January[/name_m], our family was so lucky to welcome our second child earth-side, our [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Lore[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] :potted_plant:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] was born at 4:51 AM on [name_m]New[/name_m] Year’s [name_f]Day[/name_f] 2025, 7lbs, 6oz, with the cord wrapped once around her neck.

[name_f][/name_f]

Winnie’s name has been buried at the bottom of my list for years, but had never been a contender for our first daughter, so it came as a bit of a surprise when my wife suggested it for this baby. I was pretty intimidated choosing a name this time, finding a name we both loved as much as [name_f]Fifer[/name_f] felt like a nearly impossible challenge. [name_f]My[/name_f] wife is a Celtic language teacher, so we chose [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] for its Celtic origins, strength, and history. [name_f]Lore[/name_f] was also chosen partially for this reason, as well as the fact that we felt its simple sound complimented Fifer’s middle name, [name_f]Lou[/name_f]. We’d settled Winnie’s first name completely by 14 weeks, huge change from her sister!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Mama[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] are both doing excellent and resting at home now. [name_f]Fifer[/name_f] [name_f]Lou[/name_f] (2.5) has proven herself to be a wonderful big sister; fetching diapers, picking outfits, and of course giving lots of cuddles and kisses. We’ve had to pull countless toys and cards out of Winnie’s cot already, lol!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to the world, [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] :rainbow:[name_f][/name_f] You are so loved

On the seventeenth of [name_f]February[/name_f], our family grew by one. We were so lucky to welcome our sweet little girl earth-side, our [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] :herb:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] was born at 11:02 a.m. on [name_f]February[/name_f] 17th, weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 19 inches. She’s a tiny little babe but has so much spirit already.

[name_f][/name_f]

Winnie’s name was a compromise between my husband and I, and one that we settled on very early in the pregnancy. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves the charming vintage nickname style of names (Daisy, [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], etc.), and I lean more towards the eclectic, clunky vintage style (Agatha, [name_f]Prudence[/name_f], [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], etc.), so while we had some overlap in taste, we found ourselves on opposite ends of names. Her name—Winifred—has been on my lists for a long time, and although my husband was only sold on the name because he really wanted to name her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], he quickly fell in love with the meaning “blessed peacemaking” as well as Winifred’s ties to his Welsh heritage. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] was chosen for its ties to the outdoors, and we loved that it complements the vibes of [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband pushed for us to use [name_f]June[/name_f], and it happened to fall into place perfectly as our girl’s second middle!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Mama[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] are settling in excellently at home, despite the exhaustion of laboring for thirteen hours at the birth center. [name_f]Baby[/name_f] girl looks just like her daddy, all light hair and big, expressive blue eyes. Goodness, she could not be more perfect.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] to the world, [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] :rainbow:[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Mama[/name_f] and Daddy love you so much!
