Imaginary Friends

I was thinking about imaginary friends this morning and how my daughter simply out grew hers. I can’t recall exactly when we stopped hearing about her but eventually she just sort of disappeared. I think this is the most common case with imaginary friends but what really stuck out for me was the name of this imaginary friend. My daughters imagniary friends name was Gumball Machine. Yup. Couldn’t make that one up if I tried. We were told Gumball Machine was a robot. They played together and she would tell us of their exploits. Gumball Machine was never mischevious, never got blamed for breaking anything. Pretty weird name though right? Has anyone else had an experience with an imaginary friend that had a peculiar name?
I recall my youngest brothers Imaginary friends name as well simply because it was strange and rather tricky to explain to people. The imaginary friends name was Hisname. So telling people, his name is Hisname was a little confusing. It was something we all got used too but was funny to try and tell people. Again one day he just stopped playing with Hisname.
For me my imaginary friend was [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u]. lol Not nearly as creative of a name. My son is 3 and has yet to mention an imaginary friend but I can’t wait to see what name it ends up with. lol.
Anyone else have a good Imaginary friend story?

When I was little I had 2 imaginary friends. A girl and a boy, one was [name_f]Lala[/name_f], and I cannot for the life of me remember the boys name. It was something like Gumby. I had a stuffed cow I used to pretend was an imaginary friend too which was Hands. I was super creative lol. My sisters never had imaginary friends, but they had stuffed animal friends too, all of which were named Watermelon and [name_f]Princess[/name_f].

One of my younger brothers had an imaginary friend caled [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], it was a boy. They used to go to Rebeccas imaginary workshop every day and build things. We never saw what he built though. Then my other brother, younger than the previous had an imaginary friend that was a giraffe and one that was an old lady who watched him sleep. Wierd or what?

I had an imaginary friend when I was little; his name was [name_m]Bill[/name_m]. He was a cat trapped in the body of a lizard. Yeah, I’m not sure where I came up with that! Haha.

My son is three and has had an imaginary friend named The [name_m]Man[/name_m] since he was two. The [name_m]Man[/name_m] lives inside his mouth. They fight all of the time, like the way that siblings fight. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] talks for himself and also does this weird Pee Wee [name_m]Herman[/name_m] voice for The [name_m]Man[/name_m]. So we hear the entire conversation, They fight over who gets to play with which toy, whose turn it is to take the next bite of food, everything. The [name_m]Man[/name_m] doesn’t blamed for mischief, but if [name_m]Lev[/name_m] is cold or scared, he will tell me that The [name_m]Man[/name_m] needs a jacket, or The [name_m]Man[/name_m] is afraid, or whatever. He also will explain things to The [name_m]Man[/name_m] at length. Like if he has to get a shot, he will explain about how shots keep us healthy to The [name_m]Man[/name_m]. The [name_m]Man[/name_m] will be worried, but [name_m]Lev[/name_m] will explain that it only hurts for a minute and then you get a sticker. So he is a really useful friend.

I had an imaginary friend named [name_f]April[/name_f] when I was little. She was a kabobstrian, from the Planet Kabostria. She was just visiting earth. My husband had an imaginary friend as well. His name was Booba and he was made of rainbows and lived in a hollow tree.

I had a ton of “invisible” friends (I didn’t like the term imaginary - “THEY’RE REAL!” I cried). I had Zeebrie the Zebra, [name_u]Blue[/name_u] Jayer the blue jay, a big red cat whose name I forgot (he was my favorite, too :(), and the rest I forgot but they were based off of Beanie Babies, lol. I also had 40+ stuffed animals who all had names and personalities!
