Are there any other berries who love this name? I like its strong meaning, and proximity in sound to [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. It is vintage, starts with a vowel, and has a sweet yet dignified feel. I think it fits right in with [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], etc.
It hasn’t been in the US 1000 since 1978, and never ranked higher than #809 (in 1928.) Time for a comeback? What say the berries?
I like it, though I’ve found that many people still think of [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m], wife of the former Filipino dictator and her huge collection of shoes.
It’s a shame, since the name has a pretty sound.
I like it. It’s got a beautiful sound to it and I like the nickname [name_f]Immy[/name_f].
[name_f]Imelda[/name_f] has that exotic and unique feel to it but whilst being recognisable.
I like [name_f]Imelda[/name_f], but we did recently (though very briefly) learn about [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m], so I’m still a bit unsure about it, though I wouldn’t hesitate to use it as a middle.
I’m with some of the other previous posters: I think of [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m] and her shoes haha. After that, I think of the actress [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] Staunton. It really is a pretty name, though!
I like it. It’s intriguing and sort of clunky-pretty. I actually thought of [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] Staunton before [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m].
I also associate with [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m], but the name is very nice. I agree with the description of it as clunky-pretty.
