I prefer [name]Imogene[/name]. I know that’s a minority here. I just find [name]Imogen[/name] harder because I have never met someone with this name. It looks and sounds pretty when I say it… but I love [name]Imogene[/name] just the same. It reminds me of one of the characters from The Best [name]Christmas[/name] Pageant [name]Ever[/name]. (No, she’s not the best character, but still…)
I had a picture book as a kid with an [name]Imogene[/name] in it as the heroine.
And I loved [name]Fried[/name] [name]Green[/name] Tomatoes.
[name]Imogene[/name] would get wrecked here (Australia) because [name]Imogen[/name] is soooo popular here, Top 50 name I believe. [name]Imogen[/name], on the other hand, would be “missing an e” back home.
[name]Hi[/name]! Im new here! I am from [name]Philadelphia[/name] Pa. I like [name]Imogene[/name] with nn [name]Genie[/name]. [name]Imogen[/name] doesnt sound like a US name to me.
Oh, I’m torn between the two. I like the pronunciation of [name]Imogene[/name] better (it just rolls off the tongue more naturally for me), but I like the way [name]Imogen[/name] looks on paper better.
I like [name]Imogen[/name]. I really like names that have nicknames built in (My name is [name]Alexis[/name], but I go by [name]Lexi[/name], and I like that I can use either or, if that makes sense), so a lot of the names I like are like that. I think [name]Imogen[/name] is definitely unusual here in the states, but I really like it. If I were to use it, I would definitely pronounce it ih-muh-jen, and I would probably either call her [name]Immy[/name] or [name]Jenny[/name] for short… [name]Genie[/name] is a nice nickname too I guess, but it kind of sounds like an older name to me, I can’t imagine calling a baby that.
[name]Imogen[/name] for sure. It’s a classic.
I’m from AUS and [name]Imogene[/name] doesn’t sound right to me (could be the accent though) best of luck!
