I love the name [name]Jude[/name] aswell as [name]Kane[/name] for a boy of course. But i cannot figure out a middle name to flow well with our last name (Neustaeter; pronounced New-stet-er) Since the last name has 3 syllables i want the first name to be short and easy to pronounce but i want a middle name with some culture any ideas???
I think the bulk of your problem lies in a first name that ends with an N sound, like [name]Kane[/name]. [name]Jude[/name] also sounds a lot like the first syllable of Neustaeter. I like short, easy, straightforward first names also, and I like the names you picked, just that you have a name that starts with N and starts with the sound OO. I don’t think it’s impossible to find a first name that will go with it that fits the [name]Jude[/name]/[name]Kane[/name] template that sounds a little better, though.
Some of the same issues are retained for the middle position, but I don’t think it’s anything you couldn’t work with. Most of his life, he will be known by first name-last name, and the middle you choose can have meaning, it might not have a great rhythm, but most people won’t hear it like that. It can have a great rhythm, though, mostly if you stick with names that don’t end with an N sound, like (just making examples, not suggestions) [name]Preston[/name], which not only ends with N, also contains the [name]ST[/name] echoed from Neustaeter, or has an OO sound, like [name]Julian[/name] (again with names ending in N). If for instance, [name]Jude[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] Neustaeter or [name]Kane[/name] [name]Bartholomew[/name] Neustaeter, that [name]Patrick[/name] seems like a good example of a name that sounds really good, [name]Bartholomew[/name] is a little long but ok, if not for the fact that [name]Jude[/name] Neustaeter is sort of rhyme-y and [name]Kane[/name] Neustaeter runs together.
If you already have some names in mind, let us at them, see what we can do. The names I’ve offered, just to repeat myself, are not my suggestions but random examples for illustration - unless you like them.
Thanks for the advice , Yea i also like the name [name]Kade[/name], [name]Donovan[/name], [name]Layton[/name], [name]Weston[/name], [name]Scott[/name], really love the name scott but my husband is only willing to use it as a middle name .
He wants to make sure our son has a unique name but one that is easy to pronounce. We know a patrick and so he wouldnt like that name but i really love the way that one sounds. Any more similar suggestions?
I love [name]Jude[/name], too, but agree that it’s pretty oooo heavy with your last name.

[name]Do[/name] you like any of the ideas on [name]Jill[/name]'s list? If you do, I would love to think of some more middle names to go with them. [name]Jill[/name]'s middle name ideas are great, but I love to brainstorm and think of even more.
Why thank you, [name]Susan[/name].

I hope that sounded the way I meant it to. I just meant that I wanted to join in with you and think of more middle name ideas. I am really tired because I got up really early this morning, so right now nothing makes any sense to me. [name]Even[/name] the word “the” seems odd.

Oops! I realize that the way I phrased my thank-you could easily be misinterpreted as sarcasm (and likely was). I’m sorry! I knew exactly what you meant by your positive message, and I was just very happy that you liked some of the ideas I came up with. I was genuinely thanking you for your compliment.
I could never be mad at you, [name]Susan[/name]!
I want to brainstorm more, too, and like you, thought it would probably be smart to wait and see if any of the names appeal to her first.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with, [name]Susan[/name]!
Have a good night!
I don’t usually drink wine, but the last couple of nights I had rose that was left over from my birthday party. I have a really low tolerance. One glass of wine can do me in. I had half a glass, and I have felt so woozy tonight. I’m glad that I didn’t offend you! I thing next time I will drink even less than half a glass. Now back to the Impossible Last Name. My favorite really short boys’ names are [name]Reed[/name] and [name]Cole[/name].
I hope you’re feeling better today!
You bet. I just took a really long nap. What do you think of [name]Reed[/name] Neustaeter? I think that sounds extremely handsome.
