I like [name]Amandine[/name] more than [name]Maeve[/name], but prefer [name]Almandine[/name]. I think it’s lovely and feminine.
PRONOUNCED: a-mawn-[name]DEEN[/name]
I think it’s a nice name it reminds me of the name Blandine.
I work in health care, so the drug amantadine immediately comes to mind. I’m not able to shake that association. [name]Maeve[/name], on the other hand, I love!
I pronounce it a-mawn-[name]DEEN[/name] as well. I don’t really have any opinion about the name, as i feel like I’ve read about it, but I’ve never actually hard it used, so it’s in that weird familiar but foreign spot for me. I don’t dislike it as a name, i could see it being sweet on a little girl
I pron. it Aw-mahn-deen, I think for me the stress is slightly heavier on the first syllable but it’s pretty subtle. It’s too fussy for me. Plus I always think of green beans almondine.
You don’t want to hear my thoughts on [name]Maeve[/name] I have the worst irrational dislike of that name. It’s weird because I like [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Mavis[/name], but not [name]Maeve[/name] in the least. Sorry! NB as a whole seems to love it though.
I say ah-mahn-[name]DEEN[/name]. I think it’s lovely and I’ve always liked it, but I always wondered if it were too “difficult” a name.
I adore [name]Maeve[/name]. [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Amandine[/name] would work
I would say “uh-man-deen” at first glance. Personally, I definitely prefer [name]Maeve[/name] over [name]Amandine[/name].
Thank you so much!
[name]Maeve[/name] is so much better [name]IMO[/name] but I would pronounce it [name]Ah[/name]-mun-deen. I also think of green beans almondine immediately. Not my style but its a unique choice with nickname options ([name]Ama[/name], [name]Ami[/name], [name]Mandy[/name], [name]Deena[/name]).
I think green bean amandine, a dish we had with our wedding. [name]Amandine[/name] as in almonds.
I knew a very cute, pretty, sweet girl in college named [name]Amandine[/name]. So it has good connotations to me.
It’s a common name in [name]Quebec[/name] and I went to a bilingual college in [name]Ontario[/name]. In [name]Quebec[/name], it is pronounced more like “ah-man-DINN”.
I find it very pretty, but kind of trying too hard (and very evocative of almonds).
I prefer [name]Maeve[/name]. I’m pretty fond of [name]Maeve[/name] : D.
Hmmm not a fan of [name]Amandine[/name] but love [name]Maeve[/name]!
