What do you think of the name “[name_f]Camila[/name_f]”? I have never met one in my area of the U.S. I see that it is quite popular though…#23 in 2017. (I would pronounce this Cah-mee-la. What is your impression of this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? What about the spelling [name_f]Kamila[/name_f]? Does this make it prettier or not?
Adding a k definitely doesn’t make it prettier. [name_f]Camila[/name_f] is nice and i like the nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Camila[/name_f]! It is so feminine and sweet. Great nicknames (if you are into nicknames) - [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Cami[/name_f] are cute. I prefer the spelling [name_f]Camila[/name_f]
I love the name [name_f]Camila[/name_f] as well. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. I could see it fitting a wide range of people types and ages. I would pronounce it CAH-mill-uh on first sight, but cah-MEE-la is nice too and provides for the nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. No K’s needed, [name_f]Camila[/name_f] is 100x classier with a C than with a K.
The reason I suggested the “K” spelling is that someone commented to me that the just see “Camel” [name_f]Camila[/name_f] so I thought the K might take away this impression. Does anyone else have Camel come to mind when reading this name?
I definitely don’t see camel! I love it with a C–but for some reason I love C names and usually am not a fan of K names lol. I think it sounds classic, pretty, and distinguished. If it’s not popular in your area, I think the popularity is fine (I haven’t met one in my area, either.) Good possible nicknames too!
I don’t think of a camel at all! I think of the camellia flower and caramel, both of which are very nice in my opinion. When I think of a girl named [name_f]Camila[/name_f], I think of a confident and smart person.
That has never occurred to me. I think of chamomile ([name_f]Kamille[/name_f] in [name_m]German[/name_m]). And I love it with a C.
[name_f]Camila[/name_f] is so beautiful, like the flower. pretty as Ca-mee-la or [name_u]Cam[/name_u]-mill-lah.
Lots of young [name_f]Camila[/name_f] /[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]’s in my area from Latinx families. Some use the Spanish pronunciation but not all do.
I love it and the fact that it appreciated across cultures and languages. There is also the [name_m]French[/name_m], [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and the flower, [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] (which has the word camel in it, but you get an extra syllable). .
