Impressions of our list, if you please

I adore [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]! I wish I could use it myself, but my high school/college was called [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]. My second favourite is [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], which I also love.

@ emsky - I LOL’ed at “I don’t much care for [name_m]Fred[/name_m] or [name_m]Rick[/name_m], which is practically the entire name”. I actually can’t stand [name_m]Rick[/name_m], but I think that [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] or [name_m]Fred[/name_m] are far more likely as nicknames. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_u]Red[/name_u] or [name_m]Fritz[/name_m] feel more intuitive to me.

@ privacyplease - thank-you for your descriptions. I enjoyed reading what sort of people you picture wearing my favourite names. The way you described [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] in particular really made me smile. But yes, [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]'s meaning is indeed unfortunate.

@ drhenry - thanks! I enjoyed reading your comments. I can see what you mean about [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] feeling a little harsh. I think [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] softens it up considerably.

@ lavenderbelle - [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] makes me smile too  And I agree, [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is definitely adorable.

@ dinosaursroar - thank-you for sharing your thoughts. It’s always helpful to get some outside opinions.

@ lynnf - I love [name_u]Win[/name_u]!
