What is everyones impressions of the name Marguerite!? I’m absolutely in love with it! I want to know how the name comes across to others. Nickname would be Margot.
I have a (boy) Lochlyn nickname Loch, and an (girl) Elowyn nickname Wynn and sometimes Winnie - son calls her Elo-winnie.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is a beautiful name! It doesn’t totally ‘fit’ the sibset to me- I get more medieval english vibes from Lochlyn and [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] (incredible names btw!), and more flowery french vibes from [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]! But this is totally not a big deal, just my own first impression. Also [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a great nn, I also sorta like [name_f]Gertie[/name_f]
That was the name of one of the stepsisters in [name_u]Drew[/name_u] Barrymores remake of [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f] called [name_u]Ever[/name_u] After… the movies time period is the 1800’s so for me it comes off nice but very vintage sounding. I’m not sure if Inwould place it with your sibset.
I love [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]! It’s a beautiful and melodic name. However, I think another Celtic name would fit better with your kids names. Some ideas are [name_f]Demelza[/name_f], [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f], [name_f]Senara[/name_f], [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f], [name_u]Keeva[/name_u], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Marsali[/name_f], [name_f]Vaila[/name_f], [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], and [name_f]Rowena[/name_f].
I adore [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]. It’s one of my favourite forms of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. It has a lovely and elegant sound. [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Angelou[/name_f] was a [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] (nicknamed Ritie as a child).
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is nice, but I agree with pp that it has a different vibe then your other kids names.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] seems more vintage, and Lochlyn & [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] seem more modern.
I like [name_f]Margo[/name_f] though with them!
What about…
[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Margo[/name_f]?
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] **

[name_f]Ginnifer[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is a stunning name — elegant and sophisticated but very light and fresh too. It was [name_f]Maya[/name_f] Angelou’s birth name, which is a great connection. And [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a lovely and very stylish nickname.
I love [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]! I think it works well with your sibset especially with the nickname [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_m]Loch[/name_m], [name_u]Wynn[/name_u], and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sound great together.
I like it! It has an air of familiarity due to sounding like [name_f]Margarite[/name_f], but it also sounds more youthful, especially with nn [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] goes amazingly with [name_m]Loch[/name_m] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u], a very elegant and whimsical set.
Have you considered just going with [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. I feel like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] ties better as a fn with the sibling fn’s and almost wonder if there’s a one-syllable nn that could stem from it that would go with the siblings one syllable nn’s
Thank you! It’s fun being here Thank you for your descriptive words! It’s nice seeing how others veiw the name. [name_f]My[/name_f] Mom keeps saying it’s an unstylish spanish grandma name, despite me repeatedly telling her it’s [name_u]French[/name_u].
