Our daughter was born [name_f]Monday[/name_f] 12 wks weeks early. She’s doing well, and we’re in love.
We went back and forth a million times on a girls name- wanting to honor a grandma, and keep a strong, and meaningful name as well.
We landed on [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] yesterday. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] carries the same meaning as her Grandma Weona’s name, and [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] has the strong/ nature meaning we’d hoped for too. Feedback has been positive so far- amazing how any name can confuse people! But, all in all we’re happy and our [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] has a matching sis.
Thank you! It’s caused a flurry of confusion I never anticipated. People are saying:
Evanja - line, [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
Avaline/ huh??
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
I guess it’s a very rarely used name where we live. Either way we solidly love it. Hopefully we didn’t anchor her with a lifetime of name explanations like I have. [name_m]Just[/name_m] the first time I meet her after being separated for over a day- it just felt meant to be!
