[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f]? What’s your opinion on this combo? I feel like the less feminine name [name_f]Greer[/name_f] offsets the more frilly [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. I love the name [name_f]Greer[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] has inched its way up into my long list. What would be your opinion on using [name_f]Greer[/name_f] as a first name for a girl? Surname is pronounced Leeber.
*She would have a older brother named [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m].
Although, I agree with using a less frilly middle name, and a one-syllable name is ideal between [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and Leeber, I am not a fan of [name_f]Greer[/name_f]. If you love it, then go for it. [name_f]Greer[/name_f] isn’t horrible in the middle, but, to my ears, it’s kind of harsh. Also, [name_f]Greer[/name_f] doesn’t have the best flow next to a surname that sounds like Leeber. Here are some non-frilly middle names that I find compliment the name better.
I like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f], but I don’t think [name_f]Greer[/name_f] sounds fantastic with your surname. I like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] together, too.
I think [name_f]Greer[/name_f] in the middle spot is fine but I don’t like it with your last name which is the most important to consider. [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is very nice.
Thank you everyone for the input. Since [name_f]Greer[/name_f] hasn’t gotten the reaction I had hoped for what do you think of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] ?
The combo is lovely. I like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and [name_f]Greer[/name_f] is a favorite, but [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] with your surname is very L heavy
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]'s nice but I really dislike [name_f]Greer[/name_f], especially with your surname as lots of the sounds are similar. I also think that as a first name [name_f]Greer[/name_f] would be odd with brother [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], which is a very traditional choice.
I do like [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] with the H. My reservation about delilah is I was just told that she is a character in then bible and not a popular or positive character. This is the same problem I encountered when my DH and I were discussing the name [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] and I ultimately couldnt get over the association. Is [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] a nice alternative? Pronounced Dahl-lee-a
