[name_f]Flora[/name_f] is now front and center on our girl list. I think we like it so much that the [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] + [name_f]Flora[/name_f] theme is not bothering us as much as it should.
When crossing out some names from our boy list that were too similar to our [name_u]Theo[/name_u]'s name, we decided that we would try to focus on the baby we are expecting right now and not fret about potential future children. Although we would like to have at least two more, who knows what will happen in the future?
Still, I can’t help it but wonder… now that we have [name_f]Flora[/name_f] as the most likely candidate, do you think other names we like that are not flowery will do for more daughters? For example, I am quite fond of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] which are nature names although not flowers. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband really likes [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], which also has a vague connection to a flower. Could those names work without sounding totally random?
I think they all work nicely together! I could see [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] on siblings, as well as [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f].
I think the [name_f]Flora[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] combo would be less subtle, but it doesn’t make me dislike it. Its just slightly more obviously floral where a different combination ([name_f]Flora[/name_f]/[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]/[name_f]Maisie[/name_f], or [name_f]Flora[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]/[name_u]Wren[/name_u], for example) seem a tiny bit more subtly nature-themed.
I love the names [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] for girls. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], while beautiful, just makes me think of that whale on Spongebob eck.
And I think [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] would be an adorable sibset. I could see three little girls playing in the backyard with a love for nature.
It wouldn’t be the end of the world if you didn’t continue your flower theme after two girls but if my two hypothetical older sister both had flower names, I probably would want one as well (especially as a young child).
