In need of help!

I love the name [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but I can’t find a middle name that I really love. I’ve tried all of the family names on both sides, but they don’t click very nicely. Also, do you think that [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is too common? I don’t know… help!

Well, on the charts, it is pretty popular, but with an increasing number of people looking for more “unique” names, it may not be too extremely popular soon…maybe. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is such a beautiful name that I feel it’s a winner, regardless of popularity.

Middles are tricky for me to come up with, given my family tends to recycle the same ones so much that I don’t have much experience with others! I do know an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], which is pretty. Also:

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Madalyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]

It’s not much, but I tried to toss a few different styles in there to give a variety. I will say this…avoid “[name_u]Lee[/name_u]” or “[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]” as middles for an [name_f]Emma[/name_f]! People think they are being so original to have an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (emily)

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] is quite common, but it’s up to you whether you feel it’s “too” common. It’s a lovely name and a lot of people think so

I’m not sure what your taste is, aside from classic/feminine like [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. I’d personally put a less common, 3/4 syllable middle with [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Julianne[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] Katriel
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvine[/name_f]

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a beautiful gem! I wouldn’t use it myself as I feel like there were too many [name_f]Emma[/name_f]'s my age, but for a baby now I actually think she would be the only one in a class full of [name_f]Mia[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]'s!
As for middles, it’s hard to suggest when we don’t know your style. Try and decide what kind of flow you want. [name_f]Do[/name_f] prefer a short simple middle name like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]? Or would you rather something longer and elegant like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. I actually quite like a rhymey sound - [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] comes to mind. Play around with different syllables and sounds. Decide what kind of name you want. [name_f]Remember[/name_f] the middle spot always gives you the option to go a little more out there- you could use [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Love[/name_u], or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Raine[/name_f] if you wanted!

Good luck
