In need of middle name with meaning!

Im so stuck on my little girls name as we can’t find a middle name. We named our son [name]Jude[/name] [name]Byron[/name], [name]Byron[/name] after [name]Byron[/name] [name]Bay[/name], Australia where my husband and I met. I really want this baby to also have a special name that has a meaning and not just one because we just liked it. Family names are out as i really dislike my moms/ grandma’s name, but love them so that I dont feel right to name her after my DH familly.

Anyone suggestions of a middle name that has a nice meaning to it. Im due 2 days before xmas. I do like names inspired by xmas but only if she actually gets born that day. Inspirations can be winter, something with light/sun, new years or anything that would represent how much wanted/ wished for/ loved this little girl is after two losses.

First names are not set in stone, but likely will be rowan or myra.

What about [name]Star[/name], [name]Stella[/name] or [name]Estelle[/name]? Or [name]Soleil[/name], for sun.

[name]Leora[/name]/[name]Lenore[/name] meaning light
[name]Jace[/name] meaning gift from God

Well, I’ve got a few ideas. First, the holiday season makes me think of bright colors and lights, so I think a color name could be cute. Try Color Names for Babies | Nameberry , here are some of my favorites from there:
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Green[/name]
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Lavender[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] Amythyst
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Sienna[/name]

Then there’s also the star/light names, too many good ideas to list XD Nameberry - Welcome to the Nameberry Forums

Some other ideas I particularly like, mostly related to ‘wanted’ or ‘loved’:
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] - shining one
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - gift
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] - heart
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Elaine[/name] - bright, shining
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Amata[/name] - beloved
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Antonia[/name] - priceless

[name]Myra[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] - good news
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Nicole[/name] - victory
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Blanche[/name] - white (like snow)
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Faith[/name] - speaks for itself
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Natalia[/name] - born on [name]Christmas[/name]
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Siobhan[/name] - pronounced sheh-vahn, means ‘God is gracious’
[name]Myra[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - beloved child

So I hope one of these speaks to you, best of luck

[name]Eudora[/name] was the first name I thought of, she was a starry nymph in Greek Mythology, and the name means “gracious gift”.
[name]Eira[/name] (“snow”)
Eirewen (“white snow”)
[name]Natasha[/name], [name]Natalie[/name] (“christmas day”)
[name]Noelle[/name], Noelie (“christmas”)
[name]Seren[/name], Steren (“star”)
[name]Keren[/name] (“ray of light”)
[name]Lucia[/name] (“light” and her day is in december)
[name]Lux[/name]/[name]Luz[/name] (“light”)
Lior(a) (“my light”)
Sunniva (“sun gift”)

I think [name]Myra[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] is beautiful.

[name]Valo[/name] - light
Lumi - snow
both Finnish names. My faves.

I like [name]Belle[/name] for a little girl born around [name]Christmas[/name]. It also has a nice meaning.

Also, how about [name]Shay[/name] which means gift? It’s a nice reference to [name]Christmas[/name], while also indicating that your little girl is a really special blessing.

I think [name]Bay[/name] or [name]Baya[/name] would be a cool middle name to tie in with [name]Byron[/name] and where you and your husband met!

[name]Love[/name] some of the suggestions! Names I never thought using. Like the idea of [name]Bay[/name], but not sure if i get DH onboard that one. Never thought to look up names wih the meaning gift. i’m starting to feel more confidant now that this little one will also get a special name.

Please if you have a name suggestion that has a nice meaning, keep them coming.

NB, at least, gives the meaning of [name]Laura[/name] (and the related names) as “bay laurel”. While that’s a play on words, it actually might still be kind of cute and cool if your husband needs something more mainstream than [name]Bay[/name] or [name]Baya[/name]. Also [name]Bahia[/name], that’s the Spanish word.

What about [name]Phaedra[/name], for brightness, or [name]Eos[/name], for dawn?
