We are really considering the name [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (ann-uh-leese) but I am picturing my little girl in preschool and elementary school etc with this name and no one spelling it right and it being a little hard to pronounce etc. In real life is it a doable name? And do you like it with her sister isla and isabella?
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is a beautiful name and would sound lovely next to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I think she will encounter people that will have trouble spelling it, but thats only a minor inconvenience.
It is no harder to live with than [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. It is perfectly fine. There may be a few that can’t pronounce it right, but there is always someone who pronounces a name wrong, no matter how simple it is.
I don’t think it’s too much, though I do prefer the [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] spelling.
I really like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s too much. Not at all.
I think it would definitely be wearable. It’s quite nice.
I love it, but I would probably choose another “I” name
It is a beautiful name, just beautiful!
I have known three [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]'s in my over 50 years, young and old, and no one struggled to say their names.
It is unusual without being at all strange sounding.
Go for it!
the [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] spelling may be easier for her. I knew an [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] in elementary school. I never thought anything of it at that age. It is a beautiful name!
I adore [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]! Yeah, some people may not spell it right, but I think it’s still usable. I have a simple 4-letter first and last name, but people spell them wrong all the time. Sometimes it’s just inevitable.
No, not even close to being “too much”. It’s a great name! The “[name_f]Anna[/name_f]” sound is very familiar, and the sound of “liese” is familiar, too, but put them together and you have a sweet-spot name - unique but not over the top! Sounds great with [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
Thank you everyone! Yes the [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] spelling would likely be easier on her but we are scared of an “anal” association lol I appreciate your comments
I think it’s a very pretty name…I think it’s quite ‘do-able’ in real life!!! I have a cousin named [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Lesa[/name_f], which I also like.
