It’s right for me (so there’s your 50-50 odds so far…)
It was right for [name]Serenity[/name], but wrong for [name]Luther[/name], for me. This next one is supposed to be a girl, so hopefully it is right!
Well, this is interesting. I took one while I was pregnant, and it sad it was a boy (which was wrong) and this one says girl (which is correct). That’s odd, as it looks like a recipe. Oh well…
[name]Kitty[/name], I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I don’t have children yet but, I did one using my mom’s and it told me I was supposed to be a boy. I used a different chart because my mom’s age and my duedate weren’t on babycenter webpage. (Here)
[name]Both[/name] of those claim I am a boy.
looks down
I most assuredly am not.
I don’t have any children, but used my niece. It says she’s a girl! Correct here
I can never find 2 charts that are the same! Some go by the modern calendar (Gregorian) and some by the lunar calendar. I get so confused?? I am not sure if the mother’s bday is supposed to be taken from the lunar calendar because typically the Chinese base holidays on the lunar calendar?? I am sure there is no validity to it, but it would help if there was one standard chart to go by. Depending upon which chart I look at, I am either having a boy or a girl. So, I guess it’s accurate!!!
heheeee this made me giggle.
I never put stock in such things, but just for fun:
I should have been male
Hubby should have female
My brother was guessed accurately
My other brother should’ve been a girl
And my bun is too small to tell!
You particular website was 66% accurate for me, but different Chinese gender prediction sites give me different results.
Well, it was wrong for my son. It says this one should be a boy. We shall see… Though, looking at the survey results, I would be in good shape betting on this to be a girl
I wonder how it explains boy/girl twins…Maybe in that case it’s always half right? hahaha
When I was pregnant with #1, it told me boy. #2, boy. twins #1 (though I’m not sure it works the same way), boy
I never bothered to look during my most recent pregnancy, but I just did it now. “You are having a girl.” - finally! I also just used the due date for our daughter [name]Naomi[/name] who we lost in the 2nd trimester in late 2011 and she was supposedly a boy. So it was correct for 1 of these 5 pregnancies I’ve mapped. 20%
I have also seen different charts based on lunar calendar vs actual age. The first chart I ever looked at never mentioned you had to use a lunar age. So I used my actual age at conception (it said use conception age not delivery age) and I was 18 at the time. Well the entire 18 year old line was all blue except 1 or 2 months so really… all 18 yr olds have boys? I had a girl, but I blame that on my husband who only seems to know how to make girls
I don’t put much stock in it even though it was right for me and my best friend. It was wrong with another friend of mine. But it is fun to see which month equals which gender for when we start TTC. We’ll see if it’s right next time around.
Hmm, it seems the Chinese gender predictor can’t even agree. I tried one before many months ago and it said “boy,” which is right. But the one you linked to said “girl.”
It says [name]Amelie[/name] should have been a boy. It also says this baby is a boy…We will see
I don’t believe in them, they’re just for fun imo
I think it’s because only certain ones do it correctly. It’s supposed to be your Chinese “lunar age” and the “lunar month” of conception. It’s hard to do it right unless it’s like the one [name]Blade[/name] posted where you just plug in your info and it calculates it for you.
I don’t really believe things like this, same with astrology, but it is fun.
I will do 4 of my cousins
[name]Jack[/name] (2)- it said he was a girl… It was wrong!
[name]Olivia[/name] (4)- it said she was a boy… It was wrong!
[name]Aiden[/name] (8)- it said he was a girl… It was wrong!
[name]Grace[/name] (5)- it said she was a boy… It was wrong!
OK, so the distribution is skewed towards it being wrong, quite dramatically. I would have expected it to be right 50% of the time due to random chance. [name]Even[/name] though our sample size is small, it appears that we should put stock in it-- being wrong.
So I’m having a girl, it seems.
It’s still much too early for me to know but the Chinese Gender predictor says I’m having a girl. My fingers and toes and everything else are crossed it’s right because I’ve always dreamed of having a little girl (not sure why, just the truth). I, of course, will love and adore a sweet baby boy - it’s just one of those things where I’ve always pictured myself with a girl. We are going to find out as soon as we can so I’ll post it when I know!
First pregnancy, lost 10/11.
First baby, [name]EDD[/name]: 12/8/13
