Indie Era Names

One of my favorite shopping websites is shopruche.com. They have adorable clothing and every-so-often they produce adorable online lookbooks featuring their clothes. One lookbook they came out with was called [name]Indie[/name] [name]Era[/name] and every different outfit had an “[name]Indie[/name]” name. I thought some of them were charming, so I’m posting all of them to get everyone’s opinions on them.

Your thoughts?

My favorites are [name]Emma[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Ruth[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Rose[/name], and [name]Maggie[/name] [name]Bea[/name].

Neat post–I actually just saw an ad for that website for the first time this morning & was planning on checking it out later…weird!!
Anyway, my favorites are:

  • [name]Emma[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
  • [name]Maggie[/name] [name]Bea[/name]
  • [name]Edith[/name] [name]Lynn[/name] (More [name]Edith[/name] than [name]Lynn[/name], but still!)
  • [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Rose[/name]

Adorable

Interesting list!

All of the first names are gorgeous… [name]Edith[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Mabel[/name], [name]Harriet[/name], but I just can’t get on board with the middle names; there either watch-paint-dry boring or seriously dated. I quite like [name]Joyce[/name] and [name]Bea[/name] though. [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] are pretty, but fit well into the boring category.

Oh, there are quite a few vintage names on this list. I like the first names below much more than the middle names. Some of them sound very Southern. Thanks for sharing!
