Indigo for a boy? Other 3-syllable vowel names?

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]? I kinda love it, but do you think of a girl when you hear it? I’m not really a fan of gender neutral names, but I love this name and [name_u]River[/name_u] - both gender neutral. Could do nn [name_f]Indi[/name_f] or Digo (dee-go) for [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].

Our last name sounds like [name_m]Anderson[/name_m], and I like the double vowel, 3-syllable combo, like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], or [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]…what else would fit that category? We already have an [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

17 1/2 weeks until baby boy’s arrival!!

I much prefer [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] on a boy, same with [name_u]River[/name_u], and think [name_f]Indi[/name_f] is a really sweet nickname. Another names that came to mind immediately is [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]. Also [name_m]Elio[/name_m] and [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], and [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m].

I also prefer [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] on a boy. It’s a great name. I prefer it to [name_u]River[/name_u]. [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are a very cute sib set.

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] is too trendy for my taste (but I see the draw with nickname [name_f]Indi[/name_f]). It seems like a name than in 10 years will feel dated and therefore will not age the best. I much prefer [name_u]River[/name_u] especially with your last name. I love that it is a nature name and feels more timeless and masculine to me (and has cute nicknames).

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] leans towards a girls name for me, though I do like [name_m]Inigo[/name_m] for a boy. Also, perhaps [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] might work for you.

I can’t really see [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] on a boy, to me it’s a girl name. [name_f]Indi[/name_f] is a possible nickname which is a up and coming girl name (but spelled [name_f]Indie[/name_f]).

I love [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] for a boy! It’s definitely a favorite for me. [name_f]Indi[/name_f] is awesoe as a nickname though I prefer is spelt [name_f]Indy[/name_f]. [name_u]River[/name_u] is so-so to me. It feels more masculine but I wouldn’t think much of a girl named [name_u]River[/name_u].

I love this name for either gender. Definitely does not seem overtly feminine to me.

Honestly I do think of [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] as a girls name even though I know it is unisex.

I don’t have suggestions, I’m just here to say I LOVE [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. It is SO so so handsome. Great nn options and great unique style that is easy to pronounce!

I see it as unisex/wouldn’t assume the gender on the name alone, and that’s coming from someone who has a girl in her family named [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].

If you can’t shake the uncertainty, [name_m]Inigo[/name_m] and [name_m]Ignacio[/name_m] are very similar, though honestly I think [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] is a great choice.

To me, [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] is a boy’s name. I don’t think you could go wrong with brothers [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] with nickname [name_u]Indy[/name_u] or Digo = amazing. I love it for a boy.
