My husband is set on [name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]. For some reason, the end sounds on [name]Starling[/name] and [name]Evangeline[/name] are bothering me, plus it is very long. I also think this is the last girl, so I have all these names I like and feel like it’s my last chance to use them!
Family names I’d like to use:
[name]Roxanna[/name]
[name]Helen[/name]
[name]Ottilia[/name]
Names I’ve liked forever, might be last chance to use them:
Anyways, I’m certainly open to ideas on combos and names. All my kids have two middle names, so that will have to stay. Last name sounds like Vessel. [name]Starling[/name] as a first name is already set and won’t be changing.
Georgia[/name]][name]Love[/name] this too
Also
[name]Starling[/name] [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] though because [name]Starling[/name] is too modern for the middles. I know that sometimes it helps bring down the newness but not in this situation. Sorry to your husband.
[name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Skye[/name] This combo is shorter and fixes the Ling/line flow issue you mentioned. I adore the name [name]Skye[/name], am in the same boat as you- if I get to name one more the hard part is letting go of names I didn’t get to use! But [name]Skye[/name] is one I don’t think I can forget.
Also vote [name]Starling[/name] [name]Summer[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]. She’ll be born in the summer (unless you’re from the southern hemisphere) and she’s going to be a joy to you, so what better way to show it!
I don’t think any of those family names go with [name]Starling[/name]. [name]Just[/name] remember, it’s not your responsibility to honor as many family members as possible with naming! For my three boys we’ve used family surnames as middle names, which is a tradition in DH’s family. We were going to use it for this baby girl, but I just don’t like how the name we had lined up next sounds with the names I like, so after feeling guilty at first, I think we’re just going to drop that tradition and go with what we want!
I have to throw in my vote for [name]Starling[/name] [name]Summer[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]. Sounds so beautiful, warm, happy and golden. There’s a beautiful ring to it. My second vote would be for [name]Starling[/name] [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. This is also a lovely combination and something about the imagery it conjurs is just gorgeous.
[name]Starling[/name] is amazing! I love it! [name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] is gorgeous. [name]Evangeline[/name] is kind of over the top imo. I would add a simpler & shorter third into the mix.
[name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
Also I would be hesitant with adding other word names into the mix if the conjure up specific imagery when paired with starling…but that’s just me…
Are you open to [name]Roxanne[/name] if it improves the flow?
[name]Starling[/name] [name]India[/name] [name]Roxanne[/name] for example?
I like [name]Starling[/name] [name]Ottilia[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. I agree [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] is too long. I like [name]Starling[/name] [name]Ottilia[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] but then initials would be “SOB.” I guess it wouldnt be a big deal though because youd still have your last name. I wouldnt use [name]Helen[/name] because its so similar to your other daughter’s [name]Helena[/name].
I agree that [name]Starling[/name] [name]Summer[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] is beautiful! [name]May[/name] I also suggest [name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanne[/name] [name]Helena[/name]? I know the second two names aren’t exact but I just switched the a from [name]Roxanna[/name] to [name]Helen[/name]. It’s still all there.
I agree with the others [name]Starling[/name] [name]Summer[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] adn [name]Starling[/name] [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. [name]Summer[/name] and [name]Skye[/name] were also on my list that I didn’t get to use.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Getting induced in 12 hours! I think I’m just going to take these and some others on a list with me to the hospital and stare at her for awhile before settling on something.
I like [name]Starling[/name] [name]Roxanna[/name] [name]Blythe[/name], for a couple of reasons:
For the first middle: I think [name]Starling[/name] is such a strong and unusual nature name that combining it with [name]Summer[/name] or [name]Skye[/name] or any other nature name is just a little over-the-top. (It kind of sounds like a book title: “The [name]Starling[/name] [name]Summer[/name].” “[name]Starling[/name] in the [name]Sky[/name].”) I think it’s nice to combine a more traditional middle with an offbeat first. [name]Roxanna[/name] is my favorite of your family names, and I like the 2-3 syllable pattern a lot.
For the second middle: I think [name]Blythe[/name] bridges the gap between [name]Starling[/name] and [name]Roxanna[/name] very nicely. It fits the happy sunny vibe of [name]Starling[/name] while also having some of the old-fashioned (but not stuffy!) prettiness of [name]Roxanna[/name]. Also, it’s SHORT, which is great for a third name. The 2-3-1 flow is lovely.
