[name_u]Ever[/name_u] since I went to college, all I’ve wanted is a new puppy or cat that I can have with me every day. I can’t afford one yet, but I can imagine!
I’ve always loved the names Ladybug or Lovebug for a dog. Also recently Button, especially for a little dog, and this morning I thought of Thimble to go with it.
Oddly enough, I have no ideas for cat names. I feel like something serious like Hemmingway.

I’d love to have two small pets of some kind (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas etc) called Sherbet and [name_m]Lemon[/name_m] or Lumos and Nox at the moment. Probably because I’m re-reading the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] Potters lol.
I heard a feature about a police dog called [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] the other day. Now I want my own [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m]!
I also love the idea of an Irish wolfhound called Lupin, girl or boy. But I really don’t think a dog would be a good idea right now!
I would like a girl husky in the future. I will probably rescue so I’m no sure if I’d rename or not (depends on the situation) but these are the names I have on a list for future female dogs.

In the future, I want a corgi named [name_f]Susan[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (in honor of the queen and her corgi obsession). I have a Himalayan cat named [name_m]Harry[/name_m] (named after [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Harry[/name_m]) because he has ginger ears. Obviously, I love the royals 
I have always loved [name_m]Archie[/name_m] or [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] for a male dog, and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]/[name_f]Claire[/name_f] or maybe [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for a girl dog. As for cats, I really like Mr.Wrinkles/Mr.Winkles. I don’t know.
I want to get a hairless cat named [name_u]Rice[/name_u] and a Shiba Inu named Toast. I just love object names for animals, they’re so cute and funny.
I have two dogs, but I’m dying to get a new baby dachshund! I grew up with them, and I love ‘em! Working with dogs and animal behavior is my dream job—Which I’ve already gained some knowledge in through working in vet offices, grooming salons, and now a doggie daycare/boarding facility, plus through dog training/service dog training school. So obviously, I’ve met quite a few dogs and have a huge list of names to have and also avoid. I think about what to name my future puppies daily!

We are fostering a pregnant cat who was found as a stray by our neighbors. We will give the kittens temporary names to simplify differentiating them and recording their health data while they’re in our care. There will likely only be a few kittens - mama is young and we’re pretty sure this is her first litter - so we won’t use all these names, but we came up with:

I love pit bulls and as soon as I’m out of college I plan to get one! Right now I’m loving the name Deimos, but Winchester, [name_m]Altair[/name_m], [name_m]Mojave[/name_m], and [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f] are also top choices.
Original post here, to update that since creating this thread, I do have a kitten! No longer is it just a day dream!
When I was waiting, I had SO MANY kitten names, but ended up keeping the one her foster family’s little daughter gave her, [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. It’s simular to [name_f]Luna[/name_f], which was on the list, and I love stars and moons. It was also my brother’s top choice for a name, so it felt serendipitous.
