Ingram?

I came across [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] yesterday and Im kinda obsessed. Being a name nerd I see a lot of names and none really excite me anymore, but this one did. As a rule, I don’t love surnames as first names but from my digging is was a given name long before it was a surname.

Nicknames could be: [name_m]Ing[/name_m], [name_u]Iggy[/name_u], or [name_m]Gram[/name_m] like [name_m]Gram[/name_m] [name_m]Parsons[/name_m] was [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] [name_u]Cecil[/name_u] [name_m]Parsons[/name_m] III.

But anytime a name is super uncommon I kinda feel like theres a reason for it so what are some broader opinions?

i think it’s really cool !! it has a norse mythology vibe to me, because it reminds me of ingrid. and i like how it sounds familiar while being very unique! it has kind of a serious, “adult” feel where i’d struggle to imagine it on a kid, but the nicknames definitely help

It is intriguing - reminds me of [name_m]Irving[/name_m], Bingley, or [name_u]Linden[/name_u] - surnamey and distinctive.
