[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
The only initial name that I kind of like is J.D. for a boy. I personally love [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] ([name_m]David[/name_m] is my late father’s name.)
I dislike initial names. All of the JJs AJs CJs JPs etc I have known have been kinda…obnoxious people.
I dislike initial names when used in day to day life and feel like it’s a waste of the child’s actual name. That being said, I don’t mind when initials lead to a nickname, e.g., FE becoming Effy.
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan. I did go through a period of liking EJ, though I didn’t have names picked to actually reach that nickname, but I’m not a huge fan now. The fact that my unborn son’s name can shorten to EJ is a pure coincidence lol.
I kinda like them, specially all the _J names. TJ, CJ or EJ.
Haha, yes, I feel this too. It’s an unfair generalisation but feels mostly accurate from my experience.
There’s a couple of exception. I think they’re fun for kids, in a tongue-in-cheek kinda way. I know a little girl with a very classic name who’s parents nickname her with her 3 initials (imagine [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] who gets CMJ) which I find very endearing. I also knew a kid who got ‘‘BW’’ as a short form of his infant title ‘[name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]’ lol (again not his real name but you get my point).
K.C or J.J or A.J, but especially JJ for a girl!
