  • Initials ASK are no problem at all! : 19 (79%)
  • It’s a little awkward… try to avoid it if you can. : 3 (13%)
  • DON’T do it!!! It’s a horrible initial set. : 0 (0%)
  • I’m not sure.: 2 (8%)

As long as initials don’t spell ASS or something like that it’s not a problem. [name_f]My[/name_f] initials spell BAC and no ones ever noticed.

ASK is not a problem and hopefully if they marry someone with a troublesome surname, then they will be mature enough to deal with it.

Not a problem! Plus girls typically use monogramming style and not initials so she would be aKs anyways.

ASK is a bit funny, but not bad. And if/when she marries, maybe she’ll take her partner’s name, maybe she won’t. And maybe she’ll drop her middle and use her maiden name as her middle. I think ASK potentially becoming ASS is a non-issue. As for ASK, like i said, a bit funny, but i’m sure there are plenty of people with these initials, as well as lots of other 3 ltr words, and they get by. I keep thinking “ASK and you shall receive” and “ASK not…” but that’s about as far as i get. So not sure how much teasing potential there is, if any.

I don’t see this as a problem at all. Its not like it is PMS or ASS. I have a combo on my list I am in love with that spells out SIN but it doesn’t bother me or my fiance. I am not into monogramming either so I do not see it as a problem. So I think ASK is perfectly fine!

As long as the initials don’t spell out something with a horrible meaning, you’ll be fine. Like, if it was A.S.S. or V.A.G. or something else like that, I would avoid it. The possibilities of her marrying someone with a surname that starts with S isn’t that possible, and even if she does, it may not be that big of a deal in the future (slang changes), and even if THAT is, she could always hyphenate her name or take [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] as her second middle name, so her initials would be ASKS.
