Inspiration required!

So we’ve been reading Nameberry for about 3 months now trying to find inspiration for a name for our son due now in 3 weeks, but dont feel we’ve yet had the ‘ah hah!’ moment. He’s going to be a brother to [name_u]Skye[/name_u], named after the Scottish Island, and his middle name will probably be [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] (family connection). Our list currently comprises of:
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Nate[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_u]Rohan[/name_u]
Any ideas would be very gratefully received - we kinda like unusual names, but ones that aren’t too far out there. Know that the second name isnt exactly a dream with most of the first names, but its important to us to honour that person…
Thanks in advance!

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]; Not bad, like the combination of modern and traditional
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]; [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a unisex name, the only [name_u]Luca[/name_u]'s I’ve ever known have been female so sounds strange to me
[name_m]Nate[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]; Sounds incomplete, [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] perhaps?
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]; [name_f]Love[/name_f]! [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is on our list too
[name_u]Rohan[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]; [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t really heard [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] before, but feel as if the ‘n’ sounds at the end of each name make it twisty to say together?

What about [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]?

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] gets my vote too.

[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] came to mind when I read [name_u]Rohan[/name_u], what do you think about [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]?
Another name that fits with the rest of your list, in my mind atleast, is [name_m]Callum[/name_m], I really like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]!
A few other names with a similar feel
[name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennet[/name_m], [name_m]Bennet[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_m]Zane[/name_m], [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]

[name_m]Boone[/name_m], [name_m]Boone[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
Good luck! Finding the perfect name isn’t easy!

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] are my favorites on your list.

With [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], I like

  1. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
  2. [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]

[name_u]Rohan[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] are my vote. I think [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] go very well together. [name_u]Rohan[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] I think a nice ring to it. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] are also wonderful together. Good luck and congratulations.

We really like both [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], but have friends with littlies the same age with those names and want to start with something a bit more unique. [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is my favorite but the other half is taking some convincing! [name_m]Ive[/name_m] also looked at close alternatives to [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] abut cant see anything I love. This is hard! Made harder by the fact we loved the name [name_u]Skye[/name_u] (still do) but havnt had the same wow factor with boys names yet. Im sure the child himself will provide it, but Id like a great name to enthuse over for now!

You named [name_u]Skye[/name_u] for the island - that makes me think that another non-obvious place name with significance could be a good fit. The only ones I can think of are (there must be plenty of others):

Arcady / Arkady (this spelling would mean both children share a ‘k’ and a ‘y’)
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]

Other British place/nature names that might interest you:

[name_m]Kent[/name_m]
[name_m]Chester[/name_m]
[name_u]Glen[/name_u] (Or [name_u]Glyn[/name_u]; nice visual match to [name_u]Skye[/name_u])
[name_f]Firth[/name_f]
[name_m]Wales[/name_m]

Or that name that’s kicking around NB a lot lately: [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Blair[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Blaine[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Shea[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
