Inspired by British Mysteries

I got a bad case of bronchitis this mid-[name_u]July[/name_u] and all I felt well enough to do for two weeks was watch the British mystery series set in the 1960’s called [name_f]Endeavor[/name_f] (a prequel to both the inspector Morse and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] mysteries, all excellent). I fell even more in love with the main character.

So what about the Quaker name [name_f]Endeavor[/name_f] and the surname Morse as options?

I love Morse, [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and Endeavour (the series, not necessarily the names).
Endeavour as a name seems over the top for me, I can’t see it working on a real child. And I suppose there’s a reason that Endeavour Morse wants everyone to call him by his last name  As for Morse, maybe in the middle name spot with a more classic or familiar first name.

Endeavour is a big GP of mine (for a boy!)

If you like names from British murder mysteries, there are some great ones in [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_u]Christie[/name_u]. My personal favourite is Tuppence ([name_m]Beresford[/name_m]).

I also love Tuppence - best name from [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_u]Christie[/name_u]! Also from [name_u]Christie[/name_u]: [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]

I really like it! It’s unique and fresh! I can see it on a little girl who’s very out going. It’s very different. I can imagine you’d get a lot of questions about the name but if you love it go for it

OOPS! I meant to post this in the boy section as I cannot imagine a female [name_f]Endeavor[/name_f] or Morse!

One of my own personal faves inspired by a British murder mysteries is [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] from Midsomer Murders

I love [name_f]Endeavor[/name_f], but I think it would be better in the middle spot rather than the first.

Personally, I have a bad connection with the name [name_f]Endeavor[/name_f], only because it’s the name of a not-so-well-liked person from the popular anime series Boku No [name_u]Hero[/name_u] Academia (or the English, My [name_u]Hero[/name_u] Academia).

Get past that and it’s a fine name. Not my favorite, but it runs into the same line of [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], and [name_f]Patience[/name_f], or [name_m]Noble[/name_m], [name_u]Justice[/name_u], and [name_u]True[/name_u], without being so popular, so I can see the reason why it’s liked.
