My love for [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Katy[/name_f] came from @leafsgirl44. I totally forgot how much I loved this until I saw it on her list!

aw thank you! :smiley:

I was definitely inspired by @seawillow with my girls names - especially [name_u]Harvest[/name_u], [name_f]Hosanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Promise[/name_f]!

I was inspired by @fearlessfirefly when I added the boys’ name [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] to my UC, which also made me remember how much I love [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]!

I think @EJpuddlejumper and @seawillow have been the biggest influences for me from the beginning! However, I’d like to think that I’ve maintained a style that is unique to me :wink:.

This is so funny, I was going to be making a similar topic asking what users naming style people have felt most influenced by!

I don’t think I have any names in my UC right now that we’re inspired by others users, but I definitely have in the past!

I think the people who have most influenced my naming style recently (tho it always changes) are:
@katinka
@daniemc
@lumosmaxima
@TDFM
@nicoleamanda
@Gia.berry
@rorawhale
and my some others I’m forgetting atm :slight_smile:

I have to credit @leafsgirl44 who made me feel more confident about my unisex names when liking unisex names on NB was not as popular/normalized as it is today. It was mostly my overwhelming personality flaw where I feel like I have to be liked by everyone but it did feel brave having unisex names for girls in my signature back in 2016!

@seawillow definitely helped me feel bolder about my middle names and see how I can honor important things in my life through words!

ooh not sure if any in my signature have been directly inspired by others, but I think in general the following users are people who I always find really amazing names/combo/inspiration from:

@lumosmaxima (cool international names, and the best middles)
@futuremama (beautiful semi-classic semi-modern names)
@SparkleNinja18 (word and unisex names! definitely part of why I started to lean into those more lol)
@hyacinthbucket (more adventurous names, and really cool combos)
@rosepip (2 middles, and more “ancient” names)

When I want to come up with cooler and more adventurous combos, @rosepip and @hyacinthbucket are huge sources of inspiration for me! ([name_f]Sappho[/name_f], I’m so glad that I influenced you! I have no idea how, your style is way cooler than mine, but that made my day :grin::blush:) @may.rose is really inspiring with her boy’s names. Of late, I’ve definitely taken some inspiration from @lumosmaxima with Bluebird and at least one other name! (okay, that’s me blatantly stealing her names, not me getting inspiration from her. whoops.)

EDIT: I forgot @quinners! I love your whimsical middles and more traditional firsts!

Really?! Wow! That’s surpising for me to hear, because your names seem infinitely cooler than mine! :smile:

@MG1257 I love how sweet and nature-y they are! Seriously, even though the people with exciting and dramatic styles (hyacinthbuxket, seawillow, etc.) get called out more, I think that you’ve maintained your own notable style- short and sweet with a light feeling for girls, and sometimes longer (but never LONG long) but nature-related and intelligent for boys!

Thank you @futuremama and @EJpuddlejumper! I’m so glad I could inspire you :slight_smile:

I think my own style has been inspired by so many people on here, the following come to mind:
@books_and_tea
@katinka
@cactusgram
@elanorelle
@futuremama
@may.rose

But I could probably list every NB user, I come across a new name or see an old name in a new light almost everyday on here!
