I thought this was interesting. I’m surprised how seriously upset people are by the popularity of some names… but then again, I haven’t had kids yet, so I don’t really know what choosing a name would be like.
Thoughts?

I think too many parents do fall into the peer pressure and name their child something that they know doesn’t work! It’s a sad day for those parents.
Others let their rebellious nature or trendy selves get the better of them, suddenly they’re stuck with an Elipse and a [name]Kaitlynn[/name] and don’t know what to do with themselves. Very sad that.
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Amelie[/name]
Is this your real name? I am wanting to name my baby [name]Amelie[/name] if it is a girl (the sex is unknown). We are not French and have no French connections but I [name]LOVE[/name] this name. Are you French? If not, have you had any problems? I realise it may be confused with [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Emily[/name] but that’s okay with me. Also, do you have a nickname?
Thank you
This is an interesting article and idea. [name]Linda[/name]'s planning to write more on it next week.
