We are expecting a baby girl and we would like to find a nice, international but not too common name for her
We are currently living in Germany in Europe. Our daughter is going to have two surnames - one of slavic and one of italian origin, both starting at P.
The name should be easy to spell and pronounce world-wide. It would be great if it wouldn’t contain letters X,Y,W.
So far we have [name_f]Frida[/name_f] as our top choice. I am not sure if this will be the one for us, it would be great if the name could sound more melodic, sweet…
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions?
[name_f]Freja[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Megan[/name_f] - pronounced easily in many slavic countries, at least southeastern ones.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]/[name_f]Helena[/name_f]/[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariella[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
Zlata/[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]/[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]
[name_f]Desdemona[/name_f]
[name_f]Rita[/name_f]/[name_f]Margarita[/name_f] - Croatian version of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Amoret[/name_f]
I absolutely love the name [name_f]Frida[/name_f]. It is a stylish, vintage classic with plenty of history. Some ideas: [name_f]Freesia[/name_f]- A flowing, beautiful flower name that has a similar sound to [name_f]Frida[/name_f] but is gentler. [name_f]Leda[/name_f]- Such a unique, distinguished, feminine choice, with lots of substance in few syllables. For something even gentler, [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] are both cross-cultural, melodic beauties. [name_f]Frances[/name_f]/[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]/[name_f]Florence[/name_f]- These names are classics that are used all over the world and recognized even in places where they are rare. They are gentler yet substantial “F” names that have the vibe of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] yet a more melodic sound. [name_f]Vera[/name_f]/[name_f]Veda[/name_f]- These simple-to-spell, easy-to-pronounce classics pick up the sound of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] plus its briefness and impact. However, particularly with [name_f]Vera[/name_f], they are also very sweet, beautiful picks. [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]/[name_f]Daria[/name_f]/[name_f]Dalia[/name_f]- [name_m]Rich[/name_m], rhythmic names that travel well and have mystique and style galore. [name_f]Alma[/name_f]- Very vintage, but exceptionally easy to pronounce and to me one of the sweetest, gentlest, and flawiest names out there. Equally gentle, bright [name_f]Mara[/name_f] is an alternative. [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]- One of the most international classics out there, with much substance but also great beauty.
I hope this helps! Best of luck. Other thoughts were [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]/[name_f]Eliza[/name_f].
The first name I thought of is [name_f]Freya[/name_f]/[name_f]Freja[/name_f]!
Other names I think could work and are very international:
[name_f]Danica[/name_f]/[name_f]Danika[/name_f]
[name_f]Noa[/name_f]
[name_f]Hana[/name_f]
[name_f]Marit[/name_f]
[name_u]Mischa[/name_u]/[name_u]Misha[/name_u]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f]/[name_f]Nadya[/name_f]
Thank you for your suggestions!
