Introducing myself

[name]Hi[/name]! I already posted a question in one of the other forums, but this one seems to be the “main” one, so I thought I’d post an introduction here too. My name is [name]Ann[/name], I’m mommy to [name]Toby[/name], 11 months. His full name is [name]Tobias[/name] [name]Kevin[/name], but 99% of the time he is [name]Toby[/name].

DH and I are planning to wait a year or two (or three, if you ask him) to TTC our second child, but I a bit of a name-lover (Ok, a bit obsessed with them) so I love hanging around on baby name sites and planning our names.

My current [name]LOVE[/name] is [name]Seren[/name], a Welsh name meaning [name]Star[/name]. My grandmother’s name is [name]Esther[/name], which also means [name]Star[/name], and I’d love to honor her in that way. I’d love to use [name]Seren[/name] for a daughter some day. Problem is, DH cannot hear it without thinking of Sarin Gas, which he says was used to kill people by the Nazi’s. NOT the association I’d want with my precious baby. But still, I love the name.

Other girl names I love are [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Freya[/name], [name]Jillian[/name], [name]Sabrina[/name], and [name]Kendra[/name].
Other boy names I love are [name]Jonah[/name], [name]Levi[/name], and [name]Kasen[/name].

[name]Glad[/name] I found this site, I really like it!

[name]Welcome[/name], [name]Toby[/name]‘s Mommy! I really like your son’s name. From your list, my favorite girls’ name is [name]Charlotte[/name] (although I think [name]Freya[/name] would be a nice fit with [name]Toby[/name]), and my favorite from your boys’ list is [name]Jonah[/name].

Have you thought about [name]Serena[/name] instead of [name]Seren[/name]? It’s close to [name]Sabrina[/name], and it would perhaps sit better with your husband.

Best wishes to you!

Sarin was intended for use in artillery shells, but was never put into action. Zyklon B was a cyanide derivative. Not sure if this helps you sway your husband or not.

Of your lists, I like [name]Sabrina[/name] and [name]Levi[/name] the best. And I do love jill’s compromise suggestion of [name]Serena[/name].

Well, welcome! =)

I love your son’s name. With [name]Toby[/name], I like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Freya[/name], and for a boy I like [name]Jonah[/name] from your lists.

I really like [name]Jill[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Serena[/name] - very pretty name.

Of your girl list, I think I like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Freya[/name] best. You mentioned liking the idea of honoring your grandmother, so have you considered using [name]Esther[/name]? I think it’s a lovely name that is underused. It’s both strong and soft. I know it isn’t everyone’s taste though.

Of you boy names, I really like [name]Jonah[/name] and [name]Levi[/name].

I love [name]Tobias[/name], and [name]Seren[/name] is just gorgeous! Is it pronounced Seh-ren or like serene?

[name]Hi[/name] my name is [name]Ailsa[/name] and I am Welsh. I am new to these name sites and posts and games, but love it!

[name]Seren[/name] is very popular here at the moment - I work part-time in a local toyshop so am up to date with naming trends! It is pronounced like the bird “heron” (but with an s, obviously!), with the emphasis on the first syllable.

hey! my son’s name is [name]Kasen[/name] and I absolutely love it. His dad was born in Bosnia and we wanted to remember that culture with his name as well as have something pronouncable here where we live in Michigan. Kaysan is a Muslim name and originally I wanted to name our son [name]Kayson[/name] (easy enough to pronounce!) but I did not want his name to be shortened to [name]Kay[/name] (too feminine!) so we named him [name]Kasen[/name] Zaim. It reminds us of where his dad is from but is simple enough to not be misspelled and pronounced every time it is written or said.

my personal pick for a girls name right now is [name]Ayla[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I can’t wait to have more kids! All the names you picked out are unique but not unknown or unheard of. I like your taste in baby names
