Inventing a name & using it!

I’ve always struggled with boys names that I really love, girls names are easy and I hear a lot of people say the same thing! What are your thoughts on giving your child a completely made up name?

We’ve recently adopted a dog, he’s never had a name and we were struggling to find anything we liked that matched his character and didn’t clash with our current dogs name, [name_m]Morris[/name_m].

We started calling him little scruff, which somehow turned to [name_m]Griff[/name_m]. In the end we made up Grifford for our new addition. [name_m]Griff[/name_m] & ford from where we picked him up from.

I just wanted to know your thoughts on actually using a completely made up name for a child.

I would totally use this for a baby boy. Other members of the family really don’t like it. But I love it.

[name_m]Morris[/name_m] & Grifford!

Any completely made up names out there that berries have used?

Well, I used these names only in my story, but they don’t sound that bad (I hope at least)

Parents make up names for their kids all the time. I work in an elementary school so I see all kinds of unique names. If you want, I can send you some names in a private message. [name_m]Just[/name_m] make sure that if you make up a name, it has a clear pronunciation so that his/her teachers don’t have such a hard time.
