I want to love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]… it’s unique, uncommon (at least where I live), has a vintage vibe and is a great floral/nature name. One second I’ll love [name_f]Iris[/name_f], the next I’m not sold.

I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is cute but I prefer [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] which similar but just has a softer sound.

I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. I actually have Eirys on my extended list which is the Welsh version. Are you considering naming a new baby [name_f]Iris[/name_f] to go with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]? I think that sibset is actually quite cute!

I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] for the reasons you mentioned (except that it’s popular where I live) and I think it’s short and sweet, but sophisticated sounding too.
I don’t really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] because I think it sounds too sharp with the r and the sharp s sound at the end. Lately I always think of [name_f]Isis[/name_f] when I hear it because of the similar sound & look which is a terrible connection.
I like it on paper, but I think spoken out loud it sounds harsh.
