I don’t think I could add any more suggestions that haven’t already been said in other comments, but as someone who spends half their life looking for Irish names I’ll tell you my favourites.
I’ve already used Liam and Rafferty and I think at this moment I would use Flynn for a third boy. I also love Angus, Conall, Cillian, Eamon, Archie (Scottish but I’m counting it), Arlo, Callum (see Archie), Teague and Malachy.
For a girl, it’s harder. The ones I love would be too hard to spell in Australia (thanks Caoimhe). Maggie, Molly and Maisie are all very strong contenders for a possible girl. Obviously not Molly for you though haha. I’ve also got Shea, Quinn, Clare, Cara and Isla on my list, as well as things like Clara, Eva, Daisy and Freya which aren’t necessarily Irish, but feel as though they could work in Ireland. I also enjoy Maeve, Niamh (I’d also consider Neve), Nora, Caitriona and Clodagh but are off the list for whatever reason.

Thank you! Most are pretty straightforward on your list, but there were a few I am unsure of or don’t know at all. Maybe they are pronounced the same way an English speaker would sound it out, but also I know some letters or letter combinations in Gaelic or Celtic have a totally different sound than in English. (I’m also just realizing I don’t know the difference between Gaelic and Celtic so I guess I’m going to need to research that now too. Ha.)

You honestly already have most of my list in your list, I am also looking for [name_m]Irish[/name_m] names that could work in the US, I plan to speak Gaeilge with my kiddos (learning it starting last year) because I want to make sure to preserve my heritage even though it was very ignored in my parents generation.

[name_f]Dolores[/name_f] reads [name_m]Irish[/name_m] to me because of the late great [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] O’Riordan, lead singer of the 90’s [name_m]Irish[/name_m] Band The Cranberries. She definitely gives the name a cooler edge. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is quite common over in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] with the amount of Kathleens, Catherines, Kates and Katies. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like the boys names too!
