[name]Niamh[/name]
[name]Aoife[/name]
[name]Saoirse[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name]/[name]Brighid[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] (I know nameberry is over it but I love this. None of the other spellings though)
[name]Roisin[/name]
[name]Deirdre[/name] - but where I hear “Celtic princess” my husband hears “aged lunch lady.” - possibly our cultural US/Australia divide.
On the flipside he loooooves [name]Siobhan[/name]. Which I do not.
I love [name]Aoife[/name], [name]Aislinn[/name], and [name]Niamh[/name]. I like [name]Fiona[/name], too, but more as a MN. There’s not a ton of Gaelic names I really love, though, haha. I quite love [name]Caitlin[/name], too, now that @stripedsocks reminded me of it. It feels semi-classic, but a bit more exciting than the original [name]Catherine[/name], although it seems nearly impossible to get the original Gaelic pronunciation–[name]KAT[/name]-leen or KOYT-leen, depending on where in [name]Ireland[/name] you are.
I did a quite search and found a few I’d forgotten I liked:
[name]Clodagh[/name]
[name]Cara[/name] (I had no clue this was Irish! But a site listed it as a simply meaning “friend” in Gaelic, so I suppose it is…)
[name]Iona[/name]
That’s about it, lol. I like more Irish/Gaelic boys’ names than girls’ names.
[name]Aoife[/name] is gorgeous, possibly my favourite Irish name.
I also like [name]Eimear[/name], [name]Ciara[/name], [name]Caoimhe[/name] and [name]Roisin[/name]
My favorites are:
[name]Aine[/name]
[name]Aoife[/name]
[name]Emer[/name] - I wish this was pronounced [name]EM[/name]-ER but apparently it’s EE-MUR
[name]Fianna[/name] - I don’t know if this is used much as a name, but it was the name of a band of mythical Irish warriors that I think is cool.
[name]Oona[/name]
[name]Roisin[/name]
Siofra - My new favorite!! (SHEE-fra or SHEE-uh-fra)
My favourites are [name]Niamh[/name], [name]Caoimhe[/name], [name]Ciara[/name] and [name]Caitlin[/name] (but I hate all the tryndee spellings of it). I love Celtic names, they just sound so pretty.
I love [name]Saoirse[/name] and [name]Niamh[/name]. I also like some of the ones that are more common in [name]America[/name], such as [name]Tara[/name], [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Shannon[/name], [name]Aileen[/name] (my mom’s middle name) and [name]Erin[/name] (my name). I love [name]Eilidh[/name] too but I’m not sure if it’s Irish, Scottish, or Welsh. It’s one of those!
