Irish version of Evan?

I want to have a character in my novel which is set in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] and most of the characters are [name_f]Irish[/name_f]. I want to have a character called [name_m]Evan[/name_m] but have been told it isn’t [name_f]Irish[/name_f] sounding enough. It would be really great if anyone could find an [name_f]Irish[/name_f] version

[name_m]Evan[/name_m] has been a Top 100 name in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] every single year since 1990, so as long as your character was born in the last three decades you’re more than fine to use it. Not sure why a name that’s so common in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] wouldn’t be “Irish enough”!

[name_f][/name_f]

Traditional [name_f]Irish[/name_f] equivalents/similar-sounding names would be [name_m]Seán[/name_m], [name_m]Eoin[/name_m] and [name_m]Eoghan[/name_m].

Idk why that’s just what my dad said

I agree with your suggestions, I was coming to recommend [name_m]Eoin[/name_m]! But yes [name_m]Evan[/name_m] is also fine.
