I love [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! But, I hate horror movies… Is it untouchable or still a good idea?? would love some thoughts.
Nah, Annebelle wasn’t even a good horror movie. It’s not a classic like [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] (and [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] is still a perfectly usable name despite the film), The Shining, Scream, etc. Annebelle is still a beautiful name.

I personally really enjoyed the film, but agree that it won’t be cult status - therefore there should be no imprint on the name itself. It might be referenced vaguely but I don’t think it will be a big deal. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is a lovely name, it’s classic and timeless, and so one movie will not change its status. 
I go by [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] at work about half the time (it’s a long story, lol), and one of my coworkers said, “So, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], are you gonna go see your movie?” one day. I just sort of brushed it off; I don’t like the horror genre, and I can’t even get through the trailer for it when it airs on TV between commercials. Nobody else has really said anything, though, so I’m hoping people won’t go from saying, “Oh, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], what a pretty name!” to “Oh, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], too bad your parents didn’t know about the movie before it came out!” lol. I think it is lovely, but I sort of like the simple [name_f]Anna[/name_f] with your other kids better, anyway. But I don’t think it’ll be too affected, and if you want to use [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], I would for sure keep it on your list. Hopefully it’ll just be a blip in the movie radar.
