Is Anne ready for a comeback?

I love the beauty and simplicity of [name_f]Anne[/name_f]! I also have relatives with either [name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Ann[/name_f] as their first or middle name. What do you berries think… Is [name_f]Anne[/name_f] useable in 2016 or should it stay a go to middle name?

I like it as a quietly refreshing and elegant name, so I’d vote for using it in 2016!

I like [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. [name_f]Anne[/name_f] seems so classic to me that I don’t think it ever really went out of style. It definely isn’t used much anymore which does make it a refreshing classic. I think [name_f]Annie[/name_f] sounds much more current because it fits in with all the vintage nns used today. I would love to use [name_f]Ann[/name_f] nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f].

I think it’s beautiful and completely usable.

Yes! [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a beautiful classic name and needs to be back in the limelight!

[name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a classic beauty.

I don’t think [name_f]Anne[/name_f]'s ever really gone away, though it took a backseat to [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I think a young [name_f]Anne[/name_f] would be absolutely lovely to see, especially with the sweet nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. It hits that wonderful middle ground of being entirely familiar, but not overused.

It’s funny because I was always drawn to long names, and I tend to see a lot of those suggested here, but I think there’s really something to be said for the short-but-sweet names like [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. When my husband and I were discussing names for our little one, it was hard to get more than 4 letters in a name out of my husband (and generally one syllable, too!), but coming up with names with him has made me reconsider and really appreciate some of the shorter names (we ended up with a 4-letter, one syllable name for our son).

I’ve always liked [name_f]Anne[/name_f], it’s what I wanted to name my future daughter when I was a kid myself  To me it’s a classic name like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], a name that fits any age and is definitely not weird on a younger child.

It’s my favorite name. I’m still sad I only got to use it as my daughters middle name instead of her first name.

I feel this way about [name_f]Amy[/name_f], which I prefer over [name_f]Anne[/name_f].

[name_f]Anne[/name_f] is such a beautiful name! It is definitely ready for a comeback! It is so simple and clean. I love the nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f], but [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is just so beautiful!

I didn’t think it was ever out of style. So… Yes!

I wasn’t aware it had gone away. [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a classic name. Plus with Frozen recently using [name_f]Anna[/name_f] it still seems current.

I say yes! I think [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is simple and elegant. I am probably going to use [name_f]Anne[/name_f] as part of my baby’s middle name, but otherwise I would definitely consider it for her first name.

Yes! I love [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables and Sense and Sensibility. Named one of my kids [name_f]Marianne[/name_f]. As a nod to those names. I know an [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] of the same age who goes by [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. Personally, I think [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is so cute I don’t think [name_f]Annie[/name_f] is necessary.

[name_f]Anne[/name_f] is my middle name and I prefer it to my first name. It is a lovely classic.
