Is anyone else feeling this way?

We are having our second daughter (soon!), and just can’t seem to find the right name. There are names that I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], and even a handful of names my husband and I both like, but nothing FEELS right for this baby.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I didn’t have that feeling that I needed to find the right name for her specifically – we just picked a name we both thought was beautiful.

I can’t help but feeling while I love the name [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] (and [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]), this baby just isn’t a [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]. She feels “spunkier” than that to me. Is anyone else having this kind of an issue?

Regardless…the three names we moderately agree on are [name_u]Shea[/name_u], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_u]Shea[/name_u] feels the closest to “right” to me, but my husband likes the other two better. Advice, thoughts, other name suggestions welcome

What an interesting issue! I’m not pregnant with my 2nd yet but I imagine I’ll have a difficult time finding a name I like as much as our first. I hadn’t thought about difficulties finding a name for the baby specifically, as if you already have a sense of her personality!

The 3 names you picked are great! Personally, I like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] better than [name_u]Shae[/name_u]. What is your first daughter’s name? Here are some other suggestions you might like…

[name_f]Faye[/name_f] (like a fairy - that seems spunky!)
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]

Good luck!

Yeah I pray I have one for cause I love no name like I love my 1st. I like [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]? Nn CC

Few ideas-
[name_f]Thessaly[/name_f]

Lyria

I am feeling exact same way! We have a son already and are having the hardest time finding the perfect name for our little girl due in [name_f]October[/name_f]! You are not alone! I love the name [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. Could you call her [name_f]Cece[/name_f] for a spunkier nickname?

I had the same issue while pregnant with DD. I always said my first daughter was going to be named [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]. But to me, a [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is a sweet-tempered, quiet little girl. [name_m]Even[/name_m] in the womb, I knew the name wouldn’t “fit”. I was so right. My daughter needed a name that fit her feisty, fabulous personality.

You’ll find the right one. Maybe take a break from searching for a bit. That said, I do really like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] from your list. It has that spunky vibe you’re looking for.
