I love the name [name]Behati[/name] and I would not use it as a FN because it would stick out like a sore thumb with my other names. However, the meaning is wonderful and I just love the sound of it. Is it too out there to be an MN with a list full of vintage names (such as [name]Clara[/name], [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Felicity[/name]…). I know it is a variant of [name]Beatrice[/name] but even though they would fit much better and have the same meaning I just don’t like any of the other variations like I love [name]Behati[/name].
It makes me think of the [name]Victoria[/name]'s [name]Secret[/name] model [name]Behati[/name]. I think that if you love it you should use it. [name]How[/name] often will she use her middle name, anyways?
I agree, you should use it if you love it.
I think it is a beautiful name with a lovely meaning, a little less frilly sounding than [name]Beatrice[/name].
I actually encountered this name very recently on a real person, but it was a 27 year old man from Rwanda… so I don’t immediately think baby, or girl, but if you love it, go for it!
I think it’s really interesting, and if you like it you should use it. You like it more than [name]Beatrice[/name], so just go for it! Your future daughter will appreciate having a name that you loved.
- [name]Athena[/name]
I also think about [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Secret[/name]’ angel, but then it’s not a bad connection. I love the name [name]Behati[/name]. Cute and unusual. I said use it. and btw, what’s the fn you’re gonna use?
I like [name]Behati[/name], but yeah, I immediately think of [name]Behati[/name] Prinsloo, the South African supermodel. It’s Afrikaans for [name]Beatrice[/name]. Which is cool, but I feel like… while I know people name their kids French names and Italian names, a lot of them are so commonly used that it’s not weird to meet a girl who’s not Italian named Francesca or something, you know? Explaining “Yeah my name is Afrikaans for Beatrice.” might be different. A lot of people aren’t using those names… unless they’re South African, you know?
Thanks all!
I am not 100% sure yet. I have a few slots left open for MNs on my list. I have thought about [name]Clara[/name] [name]Behati[/name] in the past but right now I am thinking [name]Stella[/name] [name]Behati[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Behati[/name] is gorgeous. I love [name]Behati[/name] and the best thing about picking a middle name is that you can have fun and pick something unusual.
I really like the name [name_f]Behati[/name_f]… I have to be honest I would have pronounced it “Beh-hot-ee” but I saw last night on the VS Fashion show that its kind of a “silent” h. It’s a name that intrigues.
I also love that it means “blessed; she who brings happiness”. Did you end up using it? I’m curious!
