Is Bodhi controversial?

I was reading the thread about [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] (that was all new to me) and someone brought up [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] as being controversial. Is [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] controversial? We love [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].

I don’t think it is necessarily controversial. While it is kind of a nature name because of the [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] tree, it also is very tied to Buddhism and the Bodhisattva. If you don’t know the importance of that in Buddhism, I think it would be wise to research it if you haven’t already. I’m not Buddhist, so I don’t know if it would be controversial or offensive. Maybe ask someone who is Buddhist what they think. I personally like the name, and have met a few little boys named [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] over the last few years (although some had some atrocious spellings like Boedy)

Thank you.

We feel it might be best to just avoid it.
