Bodine (or Beaudine or Bodien) is a well-established name in the Netherlands.
But is it usable in the US?
How would you pronounce it?
As a name I would assume it was Bow-deen.
For me it gives off a very cowboy feel since both âbeauâ and names ending in âdeanâ are popular for western women/girls. Plus the names similarity to bovine I think also helps sell that Western cowboy feel for me.
I would say it was usable.
I know someone with Bodine as their last name in the US (pronounced beau-deen). I think it is totally usable in the US, as long as youâre ok with needing to correct pronunciation sometimes.
I would say Bow-dyne and I personally wouldnât use it. It sounds quite country to me (maybe because it sounds quite close to âbovineâ with the way I pronounce it). (USA midwest raised/east coast currently).
