SO and I are going to start TTC next spring/summer, and we have agreed on Calliope (nicknames Posy and Pia) to likely be the FN should we have a daughter.
It just dawned on me that it may be too close in sound to my niece’s name, Kylie. She’s six though, so she’ll be a good bit older than our little one by time we have kids.
I don’t know if I’m just overthinking (as I tend to do). Though we have nicknames picked out that will be helpful, I’ll likely call her by her full name most of the time. If it makes a difference, my sister and I live in different states, so the kids would likely only see each other a few times a year and not all the time.
- They’re not close at all for cousins, go for it!
- They’re close in sound, but different enough to still use.
- They’re too close to use for cousins, I’d go back to the drawing board.
