Help! I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second boy. I really like [name]Callum[/name] but my sister-in-law has a [name]Kellan[/name]. My sister also has a [name]Kale[/name] but I think that’s different enough. My first son’s name is [name]Finn[/name] and I’d like something that kind of goes. Our last name is two syllables and ends with -an so anything that is two syllables and ends in the same sound is out. Any thoughts?
I think [name]Callum[/name] would be fine as a cousin to [name]Kellan[/name]. I actually think [name]Kale[/name] would be more of a problem if you will ever call [name]Callum[/name] “[name]Cal[/name]”. If they were brothers then I would say it is off limits but seeing that they are just cousins I say go for it. I think [name]Callum[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] are an adorable sibset!
I personally wouldn’t use both [name]Callum[/name] if my sister in laws son was named [name]Kellan[/name] because I do think they are very close. I adore [name]Luca[/name] but wouldn’t use it because my cousin’s name is [name]Luke[/name]. I think the sounds are too similar.
Thank you ladies…does anyone have any other possible suggestions?
I don’t really think [name]Callum[/name] is too close, but maybe trying calling both out loud as if you were calling them to dinner and see how similar they sound. Chances are, if you’re questioning it, they probably sound too similar to you.
