Is Caspia usable?

I came across Caspia as it’s one of the sisters names on the new [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid movie. I guess all the sisters are named after the different seas.

I thought it was absolutely gorgeous but is it usable for a real child? (I’m not expecting this second just collecting)

If it is usable does it go well with my children’s names [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_m]Roland[/name_m] [name_m]Craig[/name_m]?

Thank you!

I like it in principle - it’s striking and would suit your magical set really well - but personally wouldn’t use it because of the nicknames.

I think I’d go [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], [name_f]Calista[/name_f], [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] or [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] instead. :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

So I think it’s doable but is probably best as a middle name.

Potential nicknames: [name_f]Pia[/name_f], [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]

Names I would pair it with that go well with your children’s names IMO:

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] Caspia (Evangeline and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] are darling together IMO)
[name_f]Jordana[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Annette[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] Caspia
[name_u]Laurel[/name_u] Caspia

Hopefully this helps!

I like it, but with your children’s names I prefer it as a middle too.

my suggestions for first names…
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] Caspia
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Caspia

I also second [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] Caspia and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] Caspia!

Caspia is intriguing and charming. It does feel unexpected with your kids, but it doesn’t not work! As others have said, it would make a wonderful middle too

Thank you! I appreciate the suggestions too. A good portion of them were on my list for my twins the first go around.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is actually number one on our list currently and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] Caspia is darling!

Oh, I love [name_m]Roland[/name_m] [name_m]Craig[/name_m]!

Caspia sounds like an anti-anxiety drug to me.

I don’t love it, because it looks like “caspa” which means dandruff. However I like [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] as an alternative!

People ask about weird names on here all the time. There are even times when a lot of people seem to like the same weird name.

Caspia is not one of those names. I think it is 100% usable. It is a cool name with cool nicknames. I think it is usable as either a FN or MN. I wouldn’t say it meshes with your sibset super nicely, but it doesn’t necessarily clash either.

I say go for it

I think it is! I actually came across a woman named Kaspia and loved it! It reminds me of [name_f]Calista[/name_f] or [name_m]Caspian[/name_m].
