[name]Eddison[/name] with two d’s doesn’t seem quite as sciency as [name]Edison[/name] with one d. It almost looks trendy–modern. Come to think of it, it’s really similar to [name]Addison[/name]. Not that that’s a bad thing! I think it would fit in well with the “average” name today.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]! [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Luke[/name] was my other choice.
If it’s your favorite I wouldn’t worry way others think too much. [name]Eddison[/name] is a very handsome name, and people really just think its odd because they don’t get it. Most likely because it’s not as mainstream as they feel you should be.
Not sure why this posted twice…
[name]Eddison[/name] with two d’s is not sciencey. [name]Edison[/name] with one d’s sort of is, but if that’s what you are going for I wouldn’t personally use [name]Edison[/name]. He was sort of a super villain of history. There are much better science related namesakes out there. That being said, [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] seems both sciencey and ignorant at te same time, which is weird. Sir [name]ISAAC[/name] newton, [name]Thomas[/name] [name]EDISON[/name]. So with [name]Isaac[/name] as a mn [name]Eddison[/name] with two d’s makes it sound like you misspelled [name]Edison[/name], which would be a terrible scientific namesake anyway! I do like [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Scott[/name] and [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Oliver[/name].
I’m with sawdust_and_diamonds on this one. [name]Edison[/name] is not the best namesake in my opinion. I also agree with thejollyfinch that [name]Eddison[/name] has qualities which make it near trendy, so I imagine if people see it written they really won’t be too surprised to find a modern baby with that name.
As for your combinations, I second sawdust_and_diamonds again that [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] is too much science. I love [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]. It seems set apart from your other choices. [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Scott[/name] would be my second choice, but it seems a little surname heavy.
I actually don’t like [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]. I really like [name]Oliver[/name], but something about when I say them together doesn’t sound right.
I think [name]Edison[/name] is great (I think 1 ‘d’ makes the name look cleaner/smoother). It is such a handsome name and an uncommon one too. [name]Edison[/name] [name]Luke[/name] sounds great, and [name]Eddison[/name] [name]Lucas[/name] would get my second vote.
